As Jane Foster’s assistant at Culver University, Dr Darcy Lewis, Kat Dennings returns for Thor and Thor: The Dark World. Darcy last appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in WandaVision, when she was recruited by S.H.I.E.L.D. to look into the paranormal activity taking place in Westview as a result of Wanda’s magic. Previously, Dr. Erik Selvig worked as a theoretical astrophysics professor at Culver University and as a S.H.I.E.L.D/Avengers consultant. As a well-known scientist and a friend of Jane Foster’s father, he took her under his wing and worked with her in the university. At the end of Jane’s chemotherapy, he video contacts her to let her know he hasn’t made any progress in the lab in helping her battle her Stage 4 cancer, which he mentions in Thor: Love and Thunder. After Gorr’s attack, he emerges amid the Asgardian fear as they consider how to cope with the aftermath. It’s a reunion for Sam Neill as Odin, the father of both Loki and Thor, who performed the same role in Thor: Ragnarok. Jurassic World Dominion, in which Neill reprised his role from the original film, was a huge success. Thor notices a distress call from her when she is assaulted by Gorr, the God Butcher, and loses an arm while on the Guardians of the Galaxy’s spacecraft. Her return to New Asgard is assured by Thor. Thanos snapped her neck in Avengers: Infinity War, killing her in Thor and Thor: The Dark World.
Thor: Ragnarok’s Miek returns to voice Stephen Murdoch, a Sakaaran warrior who was compelled to compete in the Grandmaster’s Contest of Champions in Thor: Ragnarok. After escaping from the Grandmaster, he travelled to Earth with Thor, Korg, and the rest of the Asgardians to start a new home, New Asgard, on the surface of the planet. After Gorr kidnaps Valkyrie’s children, Miek can be seen scribbling on a whiteboard while Valkyrie addresses her people. Thor, Jane, Valkyrie, and Korg sneak into a gathering at Omnipotence City, where Zeus, the ruler of the gods, is being led by Russell Crowe. Astonishingly, Zeus declines Thor’s request to aid him to fight Gorr, the God Butcher. Thor seems to murder Zeus in the ensuing brawl before snatching his lightning bolt and leaving with the other Olympians. Midway through the film, however, it is revealed that he has survived, and he intends to get revenge on Thor. [spoiler]

The film’s director, Waititi, also stars in the film as Ninny’s subject, Korg.
Gorr’s daughter is played by Chris Hemsworth’s daughter, India Hemsworth. Gorr’s god-killing rampage is sparked by her death in the film’s opening scene, and he uses his one wish at Eternity to bring her back to life at the film’s conclusion. Gorr urges Thor to watch after her while he succumbs to the Necrosword’s effects. Finally, Thor and Love face off in the last fight of the film. Zeus plots revenge on Thor for embarrassing and nearly murdering him at the meeting at Omnipotence City, and he wants his son, Hercules, to accomplish it, as shown in the Thor: Love and Thunder post-credits sequences. However, his son, Axl, who has inherited his father’s talents, aids Thor and Co. in their search for the stolen children of Asgard in the Shadow Realm. Is he going to be back in Thor 5? In the meanwhile, we’ll keep our fingers crossed for news of a sequel.
