After assuming the mantle of Captain America for the first time in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Chris Evans will make his debut in the full-length film Captain America 4 later this year. After the premiere of Luce in 2019, which he directed for both Netflix’s The Cloverfield Paradox and Marvel’s Captain America 4, the Nigerian-American filmmaker will return to the Marvel franchise to helm Captain America 4. Malcolm Spellman, the showrunner for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Dalan Musson, a staff writer on the show, are in talks to collaborate on the writing of the upcoming fourth Captain America film.
This news was announced shortly after the successful Disney+ series came to an end in the spring of last year. After watching The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, it’s pretty safe to predict that Anthony Mackie is going to do an excellent job in the forthcoming film playing the role of Captain America. Sam Wilson, played by Anthony Mackie, became Captain America in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier; yet, in Avengers: Endgame, Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) was the one who first passed on the iconic Captain America shield to Sam Wilson.
In 2014, an older version of Steve Rogers makes the same decision that he does in the comics and chooses Sam to be his official successor as Captain America. This news arrives too early, as Marvel Studios had already confirmed their attendance at San Diego Comic-Con, which will invariably provide new revelations regarding the imminent release of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever as well as the other projects of Phase 4. This news also comes before Marvel Studios had already confirmed their attendance at San Diego Comic-Con.
Destin Daniel Cretton and Andrew Guest have also been linked to Marvel’s Wonder Man series, in addition to director Jake Schreier’s Thunderbolts picture, which was just disclosed by Marvel. There is a possibility that the events of Captain America 4 will be connected to whatever takes place in this film. When Abrams recruited Onah to direct the hit-or-miss science fiction film The Cloverfield Paradox for Netflix, he brought Onah into the Cloverfield universe as a result.
Onah, the director, had a sharp and innovative eye, but the script was jumbled because it sought to do too much with its original plot. This was not Onah’s fault; he just contributed his best to the project. Despite the fact that Marvel’s Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Daniel Brühl, and Elizabeth Debicki were a part of the film’s cast, the ensemble was truly exceptional (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2). There is currently no information available on when production on Captain America 4 will begin or when fans may be able to witness Mackie’s version of Captain America on the big screen.
