Freevee has published the first trailer for Greg Garcia’s new comedy series Sprung, a follow-up to My Name is Earl and Raising Hope. People who have served time in prison get together to use their criminal talents for good in this drama series. Jack (Garret Dillahunt) & Rooster (Phillip Garcia) are two non-violent offenders whose early release from jail comes as a surprise to us all in the trailer. The government decided to reduce their sentences and allow them to return to their families because of pandemic worries.
Since the two men no longer have a place to call their own, they must turn to Rooster’s mother, Barb, for assistance (Martha Plimpton). Another ex-prisoner who’s searching for lodging gets picked up by Bard on the route to his temporary residence. After 26 years in prison, Jack is relieved to be released, but he quickly learns that Barb wants him to join her gang of robbers so that he may make good on his debt to the house.
While at first reluctant to join this new gang, Jack eventually agrees to participate in future thefts if their targets are only criminals.” As a result, the four of them will work together to rob the neighbourhood’s most snobbish residents while forging a new family in the process.
