The Jim Henson classic “Labyrinth” comes to life in a new virtual reality mini-golf course

Mighty Coconut has just unveiled a new and unique virtual mini-golf experience based on the Jim Henson fantasy classic Labyrinth, so you won’t have to worry about missing out. Playing Henson’s magical world will be possible in the new game, Walkabout Mini Golf: Labyrinth; however, you must keep all children away from Jareth the Goblin King at all times. If you own the main game, you may purchase the Labyrinth course for $2.99 on July 28.

The 18-hole easy course and the 18-hole hard course will be available in Walkabout Mini Golf: Labyrinth. Nine Labyrinth-themed avatars that may be used to dress up as characters or monsters as well as a piece of new original music and an extension pack with multiplayer capabilities will be included in both courses, allowing for up to eight players to join in on the fun. As seen in the beloved 1986 film, the new game follows the adventures of an imaginative girl whose baby brother is abducted by Jareth, the Goblin King, and his puppet henchmen after she wishes him away in an outburst of fury.

Sarah (Jennifer Connelly) needs the aid of a few supernatural companions and animals to find her way to Jareth’s castle in order to save her brother, who is in peril. It was first a box office failure, but it became a worldwide cult classic because of David Bowie’s performance as Jareth, as well as his contributions to the film’s soundtrack, which included a number of original songs written and performed by Bowie himself. Fans of the Labyrinth will be able to gather in this fantasy realm and play later this month,” said Melissa Segal, the Jim Henson Company’s head of Consumer Products.

A virtual reality course based on the universe built by Jim Henson and his colleagues, ‘Walkabout Mini Golf: Labyrinth,’ will open in the near future, and we couldn’t be happier. It was created by Mighty Coconut, who are true admirers of Labyrinth and Brian Froud’s work,” she said. Not only can you play some pretty enjoyable mini-golf in the Labyrinth, but you’ll also run across friends you’ve known since childhood. Mighty Coconut is a Texas-based animation and video game development firm. On July 28th, 2022, the Walkabout Mini Golf course Labyrinth, the largest and most challenging yet, will be introduced.
