Before the show’s season 3 conclusion on Friday, the cast of The Boys has released a new teaser, showing them all getting ready for what seems to be a bloody showdown. The new teaser, titled “The Instant White-Hot Wild,” was posted to The Boys’ Twitter page and sets the stage for Episode 8. The following is the Tweet’s caption: “Scratched landscape. Astonishment and wonderment. Bone and flesh.” The final member of Payback is shown honing a blade before being stopped by Homelander in their promo video (Antony Starr). It doesn’t matter how many times Homelander says, “Sharpen it for 1,000 hours,” “it still won’t cut Soldier Boy.” As the group gathers for a fight, the teaser turns to shots of Laz Alonso as Mother’s Milk, Erin Moriarty as Starlight, and Karl Urban as Butcher studying a bottle of the nerve toxin that was referenced in Episode 7. It’s all punctuated by a voice-over from Hughie (Jack Quaid) who says, “We save everyone, regardless of their merit. Especially if they aren’t entitled to it.”
A battle between Homelander and Butcher is shown in the last images, as Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles) prepares to drop his shield on someone. The teaser clip was also uploaded on Twitter by Starr, who warned viewers that the show’s conclusion “is going to leave a mark…” This season’s finale is sure to reach a boiling point after all of the characters’ disclosures, reveals, and betrayals throughout the season. They are in greater danger than they have ever been before, with M.M., Kimiko, and Frenchie preparing to face Homelander and Soldier Boy with Starlight and Butcher and Hughie using the Temp V with the knowledge that Butcher was given in the last episode. All of this, together with what we’ve learned about the ties between Black Noir and Soldier Boy and Homelander and Soldier Boy, all point to an explosive season finale.
However, fans won’t have to worry when the production of season 4, which was renewed in early June, would begin, as the third season will end up on Friday. According to Urban, who spoke with Collider’s Steven Weintraub, production on the critically praised fourth season of the Prime Video series is set to begin on August 22. Prime Video has yet to announce an official premiere date for the new season, which begins filming in less than a month. The Boys’ third season finale will be available on Prime Video on Friday. Season 3 of the superhero series, as well as the previous two seasons, are now available to watch on Prime Video right now.
