Elizabeth Blake-latest Thomas’s film, Hunt Club, will star Mena Suvari and Mickey Rourke, according to Deadline. Casper Van Dien (Monsters of California), Maya Stojan (Newness), Will Peltz (13 Minutes), and Jessica Belkin (The Most Dangerous Game) round out the cast of the upcoming Most Dangerous Game-inspired picture (The Orville). The six cast members’ roles are presently unknown. In general, the film’s development has been kept under wraps, since the shooting in Mississippi recently came to an end. Men’s hunting mates entice women to their private island with the promise of a $100,000 cash prize if they win a hunting competition in Hunt Club, which promises a mix of survival and vengeance storylines.
Women arrive at a hunting camp to find out that the hunters are not who they appear to be, but are in fact pursuing them for sport. This is a mistake that the men make, despite the fact that they’ve done this many times before without a problem. The males will have to pay for what they’ve done to the three ladies. The screenplay was co-written by Canadian actor David Lipper and John F. Saunders, and it was produced by Lipper and Robert A. Daly Jr. under their Latigo Films company. Keli Price and Kipp Tribble are also producers on the project. The film’s only executive producer was Kimberly Hines.
Additionally, Suvari is noted for her roles in the American Pie films and in television programmes like Chicago Fire, South of Hell, and American Horror Story. Her BAFTA-nominated performance in the 1999 classic American Beauty is well-known. Along with Breakwater and The Dresden Sun, she’ll be seen in Dennis Quaid, Jon Voight, and Amanda Righetti in the biopic Reagan about Ronald Reagan.
With Sin City and Iron Man 2, Rourke’s renown extends far beyond The Wrestler, where he was nominated for an Oscar and won a BAFTA for his performance.
Acting hasn’t been as big a draw for him lately, but he hasn’t stopped working. His most recent film is WarHunt, a wartime thriller. He’ll next feature in Section 8 alongside Dolph Lundgren and Dermot Melroney, but he’ll also appear in Lipper’s Murder at Hollow Creek. Van Dien will be working with Rourke at both Hunt Club and Hollow Creek. For his appearances in Alita: Battle Angel, Starship Troopers, and The Most Dangerous Game, Bruce Dern just cast Van Dien in another hunting drama. Castle & Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. star Stojan is most recognised for her performance in American Sicario, with Danny Trejo, although she has also acted in a number of films.
Peltz is most recognised for his roles in Unfriended (2014) and Euphoria (2009). 13 Minutes and Exploited were the most recent films that include him. Another American Horror Story veteran is Belkin, who has previously been in Wish I Was Here and Just Add Magic. Candy Flip, starring Cole Carter, is her next project. Hunt Club has no set release date as of yet.
