Chris Evans may have landed his next gig, according to Deadline, only days after voicing the title character in Disney and Pixar’s summer smash, Lightyear. Pain Hustlers, a Netflix and David Yates crime-drama co-starring Emily Blunt and Captain America actor Chris Evans, is in final talks. Liza Drake (Blunt) is a lady struggling to keep her head above water and achieve success in the film written by Wells Tower. For Liza, the most important thing is to provide her kid with a better life than she had. Liza gets employed by a Central Florida pharmaceutical start-up after a protracted search for decent-paying work.
When she enters, the firm is on the point of collapse due to the terrible decisions made by the people at the top, but things are about to change thanks to their newest employee. For the struggling firm, Liza is a smart, funny, and charismatic addition that quickly propels both her and the company to new heights – and the money that comes with it. Things are not always what they appear to be, as Liza quickly discovers when she’s thrown into the murky underbelly of the company. When it comes to Evans, his involvement in the dark drama hasn’t been revealed, but we’re confident he can handle it.
Additionally, the actor is now working on projects like Apple and Dexter Fletcher’s romantic action film, Ghosted, which features him with Ana de Armas, Adrien Brody and Amy Sedaris. He has been busy since his days battling with the Avengers. The Gray Man, a Russo Brothers and Netflix action-thriller starring Evans and Ryan Gosling is the next film for fans to look forward to.
Late in August, production on Pain Hustlers is slated to begin. Yvonne Walcott Yates’ Wychwood Pictures and Lawrence Grey’s Grey Matter Productions make up the film’s production crew. Cyrus Mojibi, Patrick Wade, Lawrence Kao, and Lloyd Everard will join Lewis Taylor and Ben Everard as executive producers. A premiere date for the picture has not yet been announced, and no more casting details have been made public at this time.
