While monster-hunting heroes were renowned in a period when dangerous animals ruled the seas, Jacob Holland was the most popular. However, when Maisie Brumble boards his ship, he has an unexpected companion. They go on an adventurous voyage into unexplored territory and make history. On March 30, 2022, Netflix published the official teaser for The Sea Beast, and on June 7, 2022, the official trailer was released. Maisie Brumble appears in the trailer as she reads a tale about sea animals terrorising land and sea, and no one was safe. Maisie tells Jacob she wants to join his team after meeting him, and he accepts.
As a rule, Jacob will not allow a kid to boarding the ship, so she is sent away. However, when he and his crew board the ship to go hunt monsters, he discovers that she has sneaked aboard. Maisie, despite Jacob’s plan to toss her off at the nearest port, is a survivor. Using this as an example, she points out that he enlisted when he was her age; now look at him!
