Anakin Skywalker’s padawan was always considered absurd by fans since no such thing had ever been stated in live-action films, but now it’s hard to believe. However, it wasn’t until the third season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars that young Ahsoka blossomed from an arrogant novice to a patient Jedi Knight. It was widely thought that when she left the Jedi Order to start a new life, it was the end of her quest, yet she fought on in Star Wars Rebels, even seeing her former master. After her confrontation with Vader, she was expected to die, yet she survived and made her live-action debut in The Mandalorian, even making a brief cameo in The Book of Boba Fett. Her journey will continue in her own live-action series now that she’s become a household brand among fans. Now that Ahsoka has begun filming her own solo series, we have some much-anticipated details. Here’s all we know about Snips’s next series journey.
The Trailer for Ahsoka Hasn’t Been Made.
We didn’t expect to see any new footage for a short while because the programme is currently filming. However, a sizzle reel was shown at the show’s panel at the Star Wars Celebration, albeit it was closed to those who couldn’t make it. However, it was revealed that Hera Syndulla’s pilot, the Twi’Lek, will emerge, as well as a few other familiar faces, in this season’s premiere.
Are there any plans for the second season of Ahsoka?
While an exact release date for Ahsoka has not been announced, the film is expected to hit theatres in 2023. Ahsoka will join the likes of Obi-Wan Kenobi and The Mandalorian on Disney+ as a live-action Star Wars series.
Season 2 of “Ahsoka” Is Possible?
Ahsoka is currently being marketed as a miniseries, implying that there will only be one season. Since several Disney+ shows have been advertised as miniseries and subsequently picked up for another season, like Loki, fans of Tano shouldn’t give up hope just yet.
What matters is whether or not a full-fledged sequel is warranted and/or requested, and given the programme is following a popular figure like Ahsoka and the other Rebels characters, it’s hard to conceive that it will be a disaster.
Where in the Star Wars timeline does Ahsoka fit in?
Her tale in Ahsoka is set several decades after she first appeared in The Clone Wars, making it her most current in terms of time. In The Mandalorian Season 2, Rosario Dawson made her live-action debut as Ahsoka Tano, and it’s safe to assume that she’ll reprise the role following her brief cameo in The Book of Boba Fett (although we’re expecting to see the first encounter between Ahsoka and Luke in Season 3). When it comes to the film’s timeline, this would situate Ahsoka somewhere between the events of Return of the Jedi & The Force Awakens, which is after the collapse of the Empire and prior to the First Order’s establishment. However, fans who want to see Ahsoka’s early years in a live-action Clone Wars may get their wish, since a particular sand-hating Jedi has been confirmed to feature in the series.
Why Does Ahsoka Have a Plot?
Even if narrative specifics are being kept to a minimum, we do know where Ahsoka’s journey is headed next, thanks to the current spate of Star Wars films. Ahsoka’s mission on The Mandalorian became crystal evident at the end of the episode. The Chiss Imperial leader and the main enemy from Star Wars Rebels, Grand Admiral Thrawn, was Ahsoka’s next target after her battle with Morgan Elsbeth. It’s safe to say that despite facing up against a horde of Sith Lords and Inquisitors, Thrawn was one of the most brutal and intimidating opponents the Rebels had ever encountered. Both Thrawn and Rebels protagonist Ezra Bridger vanished into the emptiness of space at the show’s climax, making it feel more like a cliffhanger than a resolution. That means that, if Ezra is still alive, then Ahsoka’s tale will not only be a continuation of Tano’s, but it will also be a direct sequel to the Star Wars Rebels.
Who Created Ahsoka?
Dave Filoni, who has worked on virtually every Star Wars television production, both animated and live-action, will serve as the show’s writer and showrunner. The fact that Ahsoka is one of Filoni’s initial Star Wars characters for The Clone Wars, as well as the creator of Rebels, makes this all the more fitting. Jon Favreau and Kathleen Kennedy will also serve as executive producers on the show, as they have in the past. If Filoni’s involvement in the project wasn’t already impressive enough, we can be sure that his name will be on the film’s director’s list, which will likely include Peter Ramsay, the man behind Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse.
Who Plays Ahsoka in the Movie?
Rosario Dawson (Daredevil) will reprise her role as Ahsoka after a viral fan movement granted her demand to reprise her role as Ahsoka. Lucasfilm’s decision to cast her as Ahsoka Tano as a Mandalorian appears to be based on the positive reaction she received from the rest of the Star Wars fandom following her debut as a Mandalorian. What about the Clone Wars flashbacks we hinted at earlier? The most compelling evidence for this is Hayden Christensen’s reappearance as Anakin Skywalker, the man who would go on to become Darth Vader & Ahsoka’s former master in Revenge of the Sith. We can expect to see Anakin and Ahsoka battling against battle droids in a flashback or possibly a quick return to the combat between Vader and Tano, given that Ahsoka takes place after Return of the Jedi.
Besides Ahsoka, Natasha Liu Bordizzo will play Sabine Wren, a Mandalorian freedom warrior and former owner of the legendary Darksaber in the upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Her tight bond and relationship with Ahsoka necessitate her presence as a character in the story, which will likely be addressed. Ivanna Sakhno and Mary Elizabeth Winstead (both from Birds of Prey) round out the major cast (Pacific Rim: Uprising). Stevenson played the Mandalorian villain Gar Saxxon in Clone Wars and Rebels, although his death in the latter series looked rather conclusive), it is likely that they may portray some other characters that are slated to feature in the film. It also includes ace pilot Hera Syndulla, ruthless Imperial commander Grand Admiral Thrawn, and even the youthful Jedi Ezra Bridger.
