With his portrayal of Mr Bean in the television series Mr Bean (1990-95), as well as the films Bean (1997) and Mr Bean’s Holiday (2007), Rowan Atkinson has become a household name. He obtains a job house-sitting a beautiful property, which he enjoys. It appears to be a straightforward task, doesn’t it? Trevor, on the other hand, discovers a bee in the home and becomes embroiled in a battle with it. All because of one bee, Trevor winds himself in court facing 14 charges, including reckless driving and arson, as well as the destruction of priceless artwork. Rowan Atkinson and William Davies developed and wrote Man vs Bee. Director David Kerr and executive producers Davies, Atkinson, and Chris Clark have overseen the show’s development and production. Atkinson, Basden, Blakley, Lusi, Rhind-Tutt, Fowler, and McHugh feature in Man vs. Bee.
Trevor is played by Atkinson, who is well known for his Mr Bean persona and his use of physical humour. Atkinson’s work on the BBC sketch comedy series Not the Nine O’Clock News, which lasted from 1979 to 1982, was more well-known than his tenure on Mr Bean. Pamela Stephenson, Mel Smith, and Griff Rhys Jones all appeared in the show, which was a satirical programme. Blackadder, which aired for four seasons from 1983 to 1989, also made Atkinson a household name. Aside from those roles, he went on to feature in films such as James Bond’s Never Say Never Again in 1993, as well as Four Weddings & a Funeral in 1994, and The Lion King’s Zazu the red-billed hornbill (1994).

There’s also Tom Basden as a police officer, India Fowler as Nina’s husband Christian, Julian Rhind-Tutt as Trevor’s ex-wife Claudie, and Greg McHugh as the gardener in Man versus Bee, in addition to Atkinson and Lusi. William Davies and Rowan Atkinson have reunited once more for the film Man Vs Bee, this time in the director’s chair. His previous work includes the espionage comedy Johnny English, which he wrote along with Neal Purvis and Robert Wade. For the 2011 sequel, Johnny English Reborn, he authored the story and the script, and for Johnny English Strikes Again, he wrote the screenplay (2018).
In addition to The Real McCoy (1993) and Alien Autopsy (2006), Davies has written and co-authored several more films, including Flushed Away (2006), How to Train Your Dragon (2010), and Puss in Boots (2012). (2011). Rowan Atkinson and William Davies have also rehired David Kerr. Johnny English Strikes Again, a 2018 comedy directed by Kerr, marked his feature picture directing debut. No Offence (2015–2018), Inside No.9 (2014–present), and Beautiful People (2014–present) are just some of the television projects that Kerr has worked on as a pilot or primary director (2008 – 2009).
