Even though Rooster Teeth is putting together the first-ever RWBY feature film, the scavengers and hunters of Remnant’s planet won’t be alone. Members of the Justice League will cross over in this new spinoff film, which is being produced by Warner Bros. Animation & Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. The film’s release date was revealed at RTX Austin and is set for 2023.
After a surprise hit crossover comic that brought everyone’s favourite quadfecta of huntresses together with the Justice League for the first time, this film follows suit. In the miniseries, the Justice League, a group of teenage huntsman and huntresses who band together after a series of mysterious disappearances on Remnant, meet up with Team RWBY under the pen of Marguerite Bennett and the art of Aneke, Stephanie Pepper, and Emanuela Lupacchino. In this alternate universe, popular DC characters like Clark Kent, Bruce Wayne, and Diana Prince live on Remnant.
Original storylines from the comics will be included in the film’s crossover universe. It was created by Monty Oum and follows a quartet of Beacon Academy students who are training to be hunter-warriors, Ruby, Weiss, Blake, and Yang. In the future, they aim to become full-fledged huntresses and help safeguard the world from the Grimm. Currently, there are 8 volumes of the programme accessible to stream, as well as spinoffs, manga and book adaptations, games, and more, making it one of the most popular television shows of all time.
The ninth volume of the series will be released in early 2023, and a teaser was shown at RTX Austin. The team behind RWBY’s web series will join the Justice League film’s production team. RWBY is directed by Kerry Shawcross, who collaborated on the script with Miles Luna, Kiersi Burkhart, and Eddy Rivas. Shawcross and Rooster Teeth co-founders Matt Hullum and Burnie Burns served as individual producers for Rooster Teeth Animation’s production of the series. The show’s supervising producer is Laura Yates.
If you’re a lover of the RWBY series, you’re in luck, since on July 3rd, an anime series dubbed RWBY: Ice Queendom will debut. WayForward and Arc System Works also released a new video for RWBY: Arrowfell, a new side-scrolling action game promising “an untold canon RWBY adventure.” The game will be released in the fall of 2022.
