This chapter begins with Vegeta saying that his Ultra Ego is fueled by agony. His Ultra Ego continues to grow as he endures the suffering. Even if Gas tries to finish Vegeta off with a single hit rather than continue the fight, our Prince isn’t about to go down without a fight. Goku begs him one more time, just before he passes out if he can figure out how to boost his Ultra Instinct any further. Goku learns how to combine his emotions with Ultra Instinct after focusing on his Ki for a long period of time. When he saw Bardock’s battle, he realised how powerful human emotions like pride and fury can be.
Goku has a striking resemblance to his father in both appearance and temperament. As a barbarian Saiyan, he goes toe-to-toe with Gas and quickly overcomes him. Goku unleashes a ki blast from his lips like Piccolo used to do in the early days of Dragon Ball, making it one of the most memorable techniques. At a critical juncture in the war, Elec enters the fray and reminds Gsa of his mission. In order to defeat the Saiyan pair, he commands him to push himself to the maximum. Freeza and the remaining Saiyans are included on their target list, which includes all prospective fighters from throughout the cosmos, making Heeters the biggest organisation in the universe. Goku attempts to put off the battle, but Elec tells him that Gas won’t get another chance. Now Gas has a more terrifying appearance than ever before.
Spoilers and Raw Scans for Dragon Ball Super Chapter 86
The battle between Goku and Gas will continue in the next chapter. Goku is on his own now that Vegeta is out of the picture. Even if Granolah was cured by Monaito, I wouldn’t be shocked if the latter joins Goku in this battle. Elec’s statements make it evident that Gas had to pay a high price to become the best fighter in the Universe. A few days are left for him to subjugate the Universe in Elec’s name.
Gas appears to be a foe with whom Goku will have to grapple if he wants to win. To put this arc to a close, he’ll have to kill him. He may draw inspiration from the classic Bardock versus Gas fight tape and use his father’s finishing technique in the same way.
