[FINAL] Spoilers for Boruto Episode 254, Preview, Storyline Released Online

Last week’s episode of Boruto left viewers glued to their chairs. Kirigakure’s long-running struggle with the Funato Clan is finally coming to a close. With just one episode remaining, viewers are eager to find out what happens next for Team 7 and their comrades. Who knows what will happen to Boruto and Ikada? It’s hard to believe that our hero will give up everything in order to avoid this fight. Was this all planned by Kawaki? Prior to its air date, let’s take a look at all we know about Boruto Episode 254.

Recap of episode 253
Finally, Boruto and Ikada’s dialogue was the centre of the last episode, entitled Conflicting Feelings. In order to settle the disagreement gently, our protagonist wished to rekindle his relationship with Ikada. After his sister Seiren was slain, Ikada became enraged and thirsty for vengeance. Because of his hatred for Kirigakure and the Shinonome I, his old friend’s words did not sway him. Father Araumi made the matter more difficult by saying that the vow Chojuro made to retire was hollow and that he was merely attempting to deceive the Funato.

Even still, Boruto remained steadfast in his desire for peace, attempting to persuade his comrade to put down his weapons. There would be no end to it until one side pardoned the other, he realised. Suddenly, Ikada came up with a crazy idea to save them. In exchange for the Mizukage’s head, he would willingly surrender. In the event that they were unsuccessful, our hero chose to give his head as a sacrifice.

What can you look forward to in the upcoming episode?
One way or another, the conflict between the Funato and Kirigakure armies will come to a conclusion. Boruto is putting his life on the line to convince Ikada that retribution is not the answer. The Funato, on the other hand, are adamant, and they refuse to forgive and forget the agony they have suffered. To ensure Boruto’s safety, we already know he must be prepared for his upcoming battle with Kawaki. But this might be a wake-up call for him. Ikada doesn’t appear to be responding to the peace strategy he’s been using for a long time.

He may finally listen to his buddy after he pledged his life in return for peace, but Ikada’s father will still be a major issue. It’s doubtful that Araumi will want to give up the struggle if it means killing his own children to ensure Kirigakure suffers. Kawaki’s intrusion inside Funato’s Mobile Fortress must also be considered. Because he disagrees with his brother, he believes that the situation cannot be resolved peacefully.

So long as the Funato and Ikada are occupied with the Chakra Cannon, Kawaki has the opportunity to do something that would change the course of the discussion about peace and lead to a violent conflict. Two episodes from the end of the arc and this conflict will be resolved one way or the other. Until the next episode, we don’t know what the Funato and Mist troops would do to each other.
