Kozuki Momonosuke was finally reunited with his sister Hiyori as he stood before Wano and declared himself Shogun in One Piece’s 1051st chapter. Everyone in the country was taken aback but overjoyed to learn of his return. With the reunion of long-lost friends came newfound optimism. The return of the Kozuki Clan to Wano was a cause for celebration for the locals. A meeting of the Five Elders begins in Marijoa, where they are discussing Nika and Big Mom’s demise. They are well aware that breaking news of this magnitude cannot be kept under wraps for long. Ships off the coast of Wano have reported that Zunesha has vanished into the obscurity.
The World Government will have a difficult time entering Wano as long as its borders remain closed. CP0 has confirmed that the Elders can still capture Nico Robin despite this setback. When someone jams the signal, the meeting is abruptly halted. They reunite in a castle, and Drake is confronted about being a Navy spy by Hawkinson. They argue about his appearance and the fact that they both thought Hawkins was fine because of his prediction. “I felt death in the presence of that monster,” says Hawkins, explaining why he followed Kaido.
What does Drake think of the possibility that Hawkins could return to Kid’s side even after having foreseen the outcome of the battle? Drake recalls Hawkins’ moment of insight into the fight’s outcome when he realised that Hawkins was seeing into the future. Hawkins had a 1% chance of surviving. As Drake had feared, Hawkins collapsed to the ground and appeared dead from the injuries he had sustained.
Within a week of the war’s end, officials in the Flower Capital have ordered the decorations to remain up in anticipation of yet another festival. Children at the school will begin their history lessons with a discussion of Kozuki Oden as their first topic.
According to rumours, Hiyori, a young girl who survived the burning castle by drinking clean water, is Komurasaki. There are rumours that the hero of Wano is Joyboy and that he is no longer in the city. Oden’s remains will be buried in a new temple built on a hill overlooking the Flower Capital in Ringo. Ashura and Izo will also be there, along with their brethren and those who put their lives on the line for Wano. When Kin’emon and Sawamatsu meet with Marco, he expresses his approval for the burial of Izo’s remains in Wano. Despite the losses they have endured, the three pray for the health of those who are still with them.
While Hiyori and Momonosuke tell Hiyori and Momonosuke that both Zoro and Luffy are now awake, Yamato is on the roof of the castle. As everyone celebrates, Luffy demands meat and Zero booze. A national feast in their honour is proposed by Momo, but the two don’t recognise him as an adult and refuse to attend. He gropes Nami and tries to cuddle up to her, pleading with her to keep Zoro and Luffy from picking on him. Momo points out to Sanji and Brook that he’s only eight years old, but she decks him anyway. Another thing that Yamato does is tease him by placing a plate on his head and making fun of his mental state.
This irritates Momonosuke, but Yamato tells him to be grateful for his parent’s gift of a strong body, and that he will one day be the greatest samurai in all of Japan. Before the festival, Nami invites Yamato to join her for a bath, since his prayer is over. To ensure that his prayers were heard, Yamato followed a Wano tradition of fasting and not bathing until both Luffy and Zoro had recovered. While Luffy is grateful for Yamato’s grand gesture, Zoro points out that he would have expected the two of them to be dirty. Sanji becomes envious when Hiyori claims that she was the one who cleaned them.
When Zoro sees this, he is reminded of his promise to kill Sanji if he lost his humanity. Fighting ensued between the two of them after he claimed that they had both returned from Hell to kill him. Despite the fact that the castle doesn’t have any mixed-gender bathrooms, Yamato accepts Kikunojo’s invitation. Yamato, on the other hand, joins the men in the tub, leaving the women to float on their backs. As soon as the Kozuki Clan returns, everyone outside prepares for the feast to celebrate their return.
Kid and Law’s crews look on in admiration as Usopp and Franky finish the repairs to the ships and General Franky. Once they leave Wano, they will be hunted down for killing Big Mom and Kaido, so Kid warns them not to get too friendly. Although nobody can see what’s happening in Wano, Law points out that the enemy also cannot see what they’re planning. Kid accuses Apoo, who appears with a newspaper containing the new bounties in hand, of leaking the information. The paper includes not only the names of the new Emperors of the Sea but also the new bounties. But before the names are revealed, a giant flower propeller is seen flying overhead. Admiral Ryokugyu is seen approaching Wano on his own. Before the chapter comes to a close, Sakazuki sends him a radio message instructing him to avoid taking any unnecessary actions. On Sunday, June 19th, the next chapter of One Piece will be released.
