Arthur and Windsom are going through the woods, and Arthur questions why he didn’t take them directly to the location of their destination. This would disrupt Windsom’s family’s protective shield, he says. Arthur is learning about the Epheotus and the “great eight” from Windsom. That the Vritra clan is part of this Basilisk race resurfaces in Arthur’s mind. He finds it hard to understand that the other species were so intent on eradicating Agrona rather than settling their differences peacefully.
Windsom responds that a deal with Agrona was out of the question because they had no idea what he was planning. As a result, it was advisable to get rid of him promptly rather than wait for him to die. It’s a mystery to Arthur how Sylvia wound up in the middle of all of this. Windsom responds by saying that Sylvia was part of the elite division that went in search of Agrona and defeated him. As Lord Indrath forbid her from doing anything, she disguised herself and accompanied him. When she finally came out, it was too late for her to make a comeback. Arthur then inquires about the destruction of the Asuras.
An army of Basilisks and other inferior races, according to Windsom, was waiting for them when they arrived.
