Atsuo Ueda is responsible for the illustrations in the Japanese manga series Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest. The series was written and storyboarded by Hiro Mashima. It is a continuation of Mashima’s Fairy Tail series and focuses on Natsu Dragneel and his team from the wizard guild of the same name as they attempt to fulfil a mission that has been unfinished for a century.
The 1st chapter of this manga was released in July 2018 on Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket manga app. Kodansha USA has licenced the manga for an English release in North America. Since November 2021, a total of ten tankbon volumes have been made available in Japan. It has been disclosed that the source material will be adapted into an anime television series. One year after the destruction of Zeref and Acnologia, Natsu Dragneel and the other members of his Fairy Tail wizard guild team set out in the northern continent of Guiltina to begin the 100 Years Quest, a quest that has been ongoing for more than a century but has never been completed.
The group learns that their mission is to imprison the Five Dragon Gods, a collection of dragons, the power of whose is comparable to that of Acnologia and that poses a threat to the entire world. In the meantime, Fairy Tail recruits a new member known as Touka. Unfortunately, she is under the influence of a witch who is intent on stealing the dragons’ abilities for herself.
Natsu Dragneel
A Fairy Tail Guild Mage and a member of Team Natsu, Natsu Dragneel is also known as Natsu Dragneel. He is Zeref Dragneel’s younger brother, and he passed away four hundred years ago. Now, he has been resurrected as the most powerful Etherious that his brother possesses: E.N.D. Natsu is also one of the five Dragon Slayers that were sent to the future from 400 years in the past to assist in the defeat of Acnologia. They were sent in order to help Natsu defeat Acnologia.
