Chapter 85 of Dragon Ball Super Release Date
Keep up with the battle between Gas, the toughest fighter in the cosmos, and our favourite Saiyans. Only on Viz Media’s official website can you watch the complete series till the final battle. In 2022, Dragon Ball Super chapter 85, the final chapter of the Granolah arc, will be released.
Pride of the Saiyans
We observed the struggle between Gas and Bardock all those years ago in the last chapter. Bardock emerged victorious, revealing Goku’s background. The character of Goku was completely reimagined in this chapter. Goku reminisces about Dragon Ball Zero at the beginning of this chapter. As Frieza prepares to destroy World Vegeta, Bardock sends Goku to another planet. The two Saiyans get an epiphany after witnessing Bardock’s scouter footage. Saiyan spirit and not another power-up will win this fight, making it plain. They share their newfound admiration for the Saiyan pride and the way Saiyans battle in every scenario with Monaito. Goku and Vegeta get their wounds tended to by Monaito as they decide to take matters into their own hands.
Fighting Back Against the Gas
Vegeta and Goku go up against Gas, knowing full well that they are doomed from the start. In preparation for the fight, Elec speaks with his two brothers and sisters about their brother’s death, as well as Goku and Vegeta’s current state, which both charge up instantaneously when Gas arrives. They explain to their older brother how Vegeta and Goku were able to take on the appearance of Granolah while battling each other. Because of Granolah’s victory over the Saiyans, Elec thinks that the Saiyans cannot win.
To no avail, Vegeta and Goku battle Gas throughout the chapter. Despite their best efforts, they are not able to overcome Gas. When Vegeta summons the God of Destruction energy blast, he and Goku are forced to retreat due to the overwhelming might of Gas.
Ending the chapter, Vegeta refuses to fall to the ground, saying that his strength is increasing with each hit he receives from Gas.
What’s in store?
The struggle between Gas and the two Saiyans, as well as the Granolah storyline, may come to a close in the following two chapters. But how could they beat the best warrior in the universe? Because of his Saiyan pride, Bardock used his strength to overcome Gas, who had been shoved into a corner. The Saiyans, on the other hand, will defeat Gas without the aid of any new transformations other than their own pride.
The Saiyan pride, a new aspect of the show, has gotten a bad rap from viewers. Stating that the character motivations of Goku are retconned, his prior exploits are denigrated, and the Dragon Ball power system is summarily destroyed. Perhaps Akira Toriyama has experimented with the series’ power scaling before. Historically, the strength scaling in Dragon Ball Z and Super has been a source of ire. Nevertheless, we hold out some hope that Toriyama can alter popular perceptions of Goku in some way.
