With amazing series like “Visions of Escaflowne” and “Inuyasha”, isekai anime has gained appeal in recent years despite its long history. From “That Time I Got Reincarnated Into a Slime” to “Re: Zero — Starting Life in Another World,” some of the most popular anime in the last decade may be classified as isekai. A character from one reality—often our own—is transferred to another, more fantastical one in an isekai story, which may be defined as a work of fiction. “Weird and odd” and “globe” are used interchangeably in Japanese writing to denote this phrase.
Isekai anime series like “Overlord,” which premiered in 2015, have become more popular over the past decade. In 2018, the third season came to a conclusion. Despite the passage of time since the final “Overlord” episode, the possibility of a fourth season remains. ‘Overlord’s’ fourth season: These are our current findings.
When will the fourth and final season of Overlord be released?
The fourth season of “Overlord” has yet to be confirmed by Madhouse, the company behind the series. Even if Season 4 isn’t available yet, there are other reasons to believe that the show will return. A German anime convention in 2019 was the first optimistic sign that “Overlord” will return for a fourth season. During the occasion, the show’s scriptwriter, Yukie Sugawara, confirmed that a fourth season was “quite likely” (in so many words, her statement was in Japanese and translated into German for the attendant audience).
Sugawara’s comment was deleted from an earlier Reddit post, for example. Sugawara, however, has claimed that “Overlord” Season 4 will premiere at some point in the future, even if this is not an official confirmation. In addition, the light novel series on which “Overlord” is based remains popular in Japan. A good example is volume 14, which came in third place in light novel sales as recently as the first six months of 2019, just after the Demon Slayer series light novels. In light of how popular “Overlord” has been as an e-book, a continuation of the anime should be in order. With current radio silence, Season 4 will not be released until at least 2022.
What’s new in Season 4 of Overlord?
In the first episode of “Overlord,” a human youngster named Momonga is transported into the virtual world of a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (like “RuneScape”). Momonga takes on the role of Ainz Ooal Gown, rather than simply commanding him. In the YGGDRASIL world, Momonga was an excellent player, and Ainz is a strong opponent.
The first time he enters YGGDRASIL’s domain, he’s not a person playing a video game, but a fantastical necromancer. “Overlord’s” third season ends with the Sorcerer Kingdom being ruled by Ainz. As the “Overlord” light book series progresses, Ainz’s trials and tribulations as monarch of his own world take on greater importance. Ainz’s foray into fantasy politics necessitates introducing him to the leaders of other nations, in Volume 10 of the light novel series, which will serve as the foundation for the start of Season 4.
What will the cast of Overlord Season 4 look like?
It’s impossible to know who will be lending their voices to the upcoming season of “Overlord” until the show’s fourth season is announced, provided that ever occurs. If the programme does return, it is quite likely that the same actors will reprise their roles. There is just one actor who has featured in every episode of the series thus far: Satoshi Hino. Hino’s most well-known role is that of Sai in “Naruto.” In “Demon Slayer,” he plays the ferocious warrior Kyojuro, while in “Haikyuu!!,” he plays the volleyball team’s commander, Daichi.
Sumire Uesaka portrays vampire Shalltear Bloodfallen, Masayuki Kato plays demon NPC Demiurge, and Emiri Kato plays Aura Bella Fiora to round out the main cast. Yumi Uchiyama plays Mare Bello Fiore, and Emiri Kato plays Aura Bella Fiore. All of these actors might return if the fourth season of “Overlord” is ever produced.
