Who would have thought that after killing Lucas and freeing the Xyrus city from his horror, Arthur would have to go through hell instead of being hailed by the council? After several chapters, we finally get to witness what we’ve all been anticipating. Aldir, a mysterious newcomer, appears out of nowhere and kills Greysunders for no reason. Who cares if it was a surprise? We won’t have to deal with Greysunders again, which is a huge relief. For the time being, Aldir appears to be a friend rather than an opponent, but we’ll find out if that’s the case later.

TBATE Chapter 146: Recap
With a celebratory glass of wine in hand, Dawsid and Glaudera discuss the man we’ve been hearing about for the last several chapters. Dawsid claims that he and his people have been selected by “him” to govern the continent with him. Upon hearing Glaudera question whether or not “he” is indeed so powerful, Dawsid responds that he had faced many awful mana creatures before meeting “him,” but he had never felt fear until then. He also says that “knowing him” was like confronting the deity. Despite the fact that Dawsid doesn’t need them to fulfil his aims, “he” nevertheless opted to select them. They continue their chat.
Dawsid is about to spill the beans regarding the incident that left his mana core permanently damaged because he is entranced by their discourse. Suddenly, he pauses and muses on whether or not he’d still be able to use his magical abilities if the peasant’s wife hadn’t attacked his mana core. Intruding on the Greysunders’ private time, Aldir announces that he has been ordered to murder them. When they were in trouble, Olfred came to their aid and attempted to use his Stone Golems to fight back.
Aldir, on the other hand, deals a devastating blow to the Golems, destroying them all with a single blow. Olfred then tries to take on Aldir on his own, but he is easily defeated. Mica arrives to protect the Greysunders after Olfred, but she is powerless to stop Aldir. To be on the safe side, Glaudera mentions Agrona of Vritra as a powerful god her husband plans to befriend. Aldir explains that the universe in which they live is devoid of gods and populated solely by Asuras.
When he tells Dawsid to let go of his Lances, the latter is reluctant to comply. Dawsid, on the other hand, must free both of his Lances if he wants to live. Afterwards, Aldir claims that he never promised to spare their lives, and then he kills Dawsid and Glaudera as well.
