On April 20, the Weekly Shonen Jump News Twitter page reported, “According to sources, Black Clover by Yuki Tabata will be undergoing a temporary sabbatical starting Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #23.3.” In response to the initial post, the website added, “Black Clover by Yuki Tabata will be undergoing a 3-month hiatus starting Issue #23, in order to prepare for the ‘Final Arc/Chapter’ of the series.” The Black Clover manga’s three-month vacation has been confirmed by Viz Media, which posted an official blog entry about the interruption.
The statement also revealed that “Black Clover will be taking a short pause starting next issue” in order to “prepare for the upcoming narrative arc.” Add that “it was agreed to enable him to relax for a brief period of time before commencing the building of the new arc.”
