Over the past few months, the One Piece series has appeared to be on a roll. Last year, as the anime series hit 1000 episodes, a noticeable rise in quality was evident, with video games and theatrical movies also beginning to build buzz. Chapter 1048 of One Piece has been postponed due to Japan’s Golden Week, so it won’t air this weekend. Hence, all eyes are once again focused on the original manga series, which will be conspicuously absent from any of our usual Sunday viewing routines.
Chapter 1048 of One Piece has been postponed due to the upcoming Golden Week holiday; but, what is this holiday and how has it affected the manga’s publishing schedule?
ONE-PIECE CHAPTER 1048 HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL THE GOLDEN WEEK
The manga series One Piece will take a vacation this week and will not premiere this weekend, May 1st, as many fans expected. But the good news is that the whole Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is taking a vacation this week due to Japan’s Golden Week celebrations. From April 29th to May 6th, Japan has one of its busiest times of the year.
This week’s celebrations include Showa Day (the late Emperor Showa’s birthday), Constitutional Memorial Day (the anniversary of the start of the postwar constitution), Greenery Day (a day dedicated to nature and the environment) and Children’s Day (a day dedicated to children) (praying for the health of all children.) Many businesses close during Golden Week to let their staff take part in the festivities, including those in the manga industry, such as Weekly Shonen Jump, the company that publishes One Piece.
CONFIRMED RELEASE DATE FOR ONE PIECE CHAPTER 1048
Another piece of great news is that the Golden Week break won’t have a lasting influence on the publication of the One Piece manga. One Piece chapter 1048 will be released on Sunday, May 8th, according to the series’ Viz Media page. As a result, the next chapter will be available in English via Viz Media and Manga Plus as follows:

11 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time
4 p.m. BST – British Standard Time
5 p.m. Central European Summer Time

At 11:01 p.m. Philippine Standard Time,

On Wednesday, May 4th, only a few days before the manga’s domestic publication, the first spoilers from the raw scans are likely to surface on social media.
THERE ARE NEW RED POSTERS ON TWITTER,
Additionally, One Piece fans are eagerly anticipating the release of the theatrical film “Red,” which will be followed by anime adaptations and a new Odyssey video game. New character posters for One Piece: Red have been released on the film’s website and social media accounts as part of the film’s advertising campaign. Although the majority of the new clothes are steampunk-themed, each design is well-drawn and tailored to the character it belongs to. It’s been a busy week for posters for Helmeppo, Koby, Bartolomeo, Bepo, Law, and Gordon.
