Project No. 9’s Love After World Domination is a romantic comedy anime. Fudo and Desumi were excited about their burgeoning romance after a successful first date. As a result of Gekko’s activities slowing down, the two haven’t spoken in a while. This prolonged period of no rain has both of them on edge. Love After World Domination Episode 3’s Gelato sensors detect the energy signature of a new weapon being created at Gekko HQ, but only one guy can slip in and take it out.
The format of this episode is a little different from previous ones. Episode 3 of Love After World Domination breaks its storyline into two separate segments rather than delivering one continuous plot. As much as this style allows the tale to cover more area, I don’t believe I enjoy it quite as much when it focuses on a single plotline. There was a lot more to the episode’s opening infiltration mission than what we saw before the commercial break. In spite of the show’s less concentrated approach, it still manages to provide all the humour and warmth that it has in the past.
In addition to the excellent chemistry between Fudo and Desumi, the show’s universe is growing even more weird and funny. Even when the joke was obvious, I couldn’t help but chuckle since this comedy is so well-delivered. The timing & delivery of the sight gags is flawless. The third episode of Love After World Domination adds more dimensions to the show’s universe.
Rather than focusing on some of Fudo’s essential supporting characters, this week’s episode introduces the spectator to the bigger ensemble of Gekko personalities. This collection of misfits has a lot of potential for humour, despite the fact that their initial introduction is noticeably limited. The episode’s final key feature is the way it establishes the story’s future course. Love After World Domination Episode 3 concludes with Desumi alerting Fudo of Gekko’s next move so that he can meet her there.
Misaki and Arisugawa (Pink Gelato) pursue Fudo to find out what he’s up to. What follows is a prelude to what one may guess will be an eventual revelation of their relationship. It’s impossible not to laugh or cry when the show’s graphics are this good. Culverin Bear, Desumi’s constant accomplice in crime, is a prime example of this. Many of the finest moments in the show may be attributed to him, in large part due to the character’s visual delivery. Love After World Domination Episode 3 is an excellent continuation of the show’s winning trend. In spite of my reservations, I expect that the series will now have a clearer picture of where it’s going and that it will be easier to follow the numerous storylines.
The third episode of Love After World Domination is available on Crunchyroll.
