On March 16, 2022, we hear that a special OVA episode would be included in the 4th Blu-ray DVD package. As per the series’ official website, the news was initially delivered at “the pre-screening of the TV unbroadcast episode [OVA]” in Japan. For their part, Mushoku Tensei fans had already begun to believe that the show will return to television in the near future. In part, this is because the series’ popularity and source material are two of the most important elements in determining whether an anime gets renewed. When Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation was released in 2021, it was one of the best anime of the year. Volume 6 of the original novel series was adapted in the season 1 finale of Mushoku Tensei, which is volume 10 in the manga version.
