Starting with Eida’s interplay and the power she possessed over everyone in the room, including her creator Amado, Boruto’s manga chapter 69 brought with it several startling twists. Amado, on the other hand, was afraid and actually quaking in his boots when he interacted with her. Fans are wondering if Shikamaru will be able to turn the situation around and earn a new buddy in chapter 70. While these events drew manga viewers’ attention, the chapter’s apparent hint at Sasuke’s impending doom was the most eye-catching. Fans were left wondering how Sasuke’s death will affect Sarada and Boruto’s friendship after Sarada’s discussion with Mitsuki.

In terms of Sasuke’s character and final fate, Boruto’s Chapter 69 provides an insight. As Boruto and Sasuke talked, the latter apologised for not being present when Boruto was in peril and confessed to having failed as a mentor. When the subject of Kawaki’s acts was brought up, the topic switched to the repercussions of the village finding out that he killed the Hokage’s son. Sasuke made a remark that echoed Naruto’s last words to him in the Final Valley: “The village does not need to hate anybody but me,” he said. He also gave Naruto his scratched-out headband, a memento of Sasuke’s and Naruto’s relationship.
To which Sasuke replied, “It felt like you’d have to display your determination next,” the younger Shinobi stated.
When Sasuke gave up his headband, it was one of the strongest hints that he was nearing the conclusion of the series. When Sasuke’s cloak and a sword appeared in the post-time-skip scene, Boruto was seen wearing them as well. Adding to the scar on his right eye, he put on Sasuke’s headband, which had been adorned with another scratch. It’s safe to assume that Boruto will follow in the footsteps of his master and assume the responsibilities that come with being a Shinobi in the future.
Fans are left to speculate as to how Sasuke died, but given his comments about proving his commitment, it seems probable that he would die either defending or fighting against his protégé. Although Momoshiki is no longer able to reincarnate, he is still able to control his vessel’s awareness. Momoshiki’s gloomy prediction that Boruto’s blue eyes will wreak havoc on him is also consistent with this hypothesis. The advent of the ‘jougan’ in the manga has been connected to this horrific occurrence by many fans.
However, if the death of the deuteragonist in the original Naruto series is accompanied by the series’ protagonist eventually accessing this unknown power, the thrill may fade. On his first appearance in the Naruto series (avenging his elder brother for his clan and subsequently Konoha for wronging Itachi), Sasuke was an avenging samurai. Toward the course of the series, he gradually transformed his position from one of vengeance to one of protection, a shadow to Naruto’s sparkling optimism and hope.
Naruto was able to persuade him that there were more optimistic and reasonable methods to keep the peace after he sought to make himself the carrier of the whole shinobi world’s wrath. It was revealed in the Sasuke Shinden light novel that he had begun acting as a spy and informant for Konoha and had been returning to the hamlet on occasion.
It was largely for the sake of his daughter and for training his best friend’s kid that Sasuke stayed in the hamlet for lengthier periods of time in Boruto manga.
Naruto’s and Sasuke’s power have been considerably reduced owing to the loss of Kurama’s chakra as well as his Rinnegan, which Borushiki destroyed in the first episode. Sasuke’s inability to let go of his remorse over the end of the Shippuden era may be the final straw for him as he continues to defend the people of the village. Boruto and Sarada’s canonical relationship has been made plain in the manga, and references to Sarada’s affections have been dropped from time to time, particularly in chapter 69.
While Sasuke was talking to his mentee, Sarada and Mitsuki were discussing their reliance on one another and their desire to grow as individuals. Mitsuki inquired as to whether or not Sarada was a fan of their comrade. It was clear from Sarada’s reaction that she wasn’t denying her feelings. Having grown up without Sasuke, Sarada’s connection with him is complex. In light of their growing intimacy, it’s uncertain whether or not Sarada will forgive Boruto if he causes her father’s death.
Since they were all unharmed and Sasuke maintained that he would have perished if it weren’t for Boruto, Sarada forgave him for Borushiki’s destruction of Sasuke’s Rinnegan. It’s arguable whether or not she’d respond the same way if her father died and there was no way to stop him from going on a rampage. Another possibility is that Sasuke is slain in the process of defending his apprentice from Kawaki. That might be the moment when Kawaki breaks with Konoha and turns into a villain in the plot. Even more importantly, the death of Sasuke is likely going to lead to Sarada gaining three tomoe or reactivating her Mangekyo Sharingan.
