It’s easy to see why Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 will be a huge hit. Jujutsu Kaisen 0 was a huge hit, and a general anime boom (fueled by the likes of Attack on Titan and Demon Slayer) has made people eager for more. But only if they aren’t in the mood for finger food. Fortunately, we’re back with Yuji and his group after the movie deviated into prequel territory. Jujutsu Kaisen season 2’s release date has been revealed, and we’ll take a look at what the show may adapt from the original material, as well as anything else we can conjecture about for the upcoming season.
Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen Release Date
Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen will premiere in 2023, according to an event in Japan (via Crunchyroll). Winter 2023 (January 2023), Spring 2023 (April 2023), or Fall 2023 (October 2023) are all possibilities for its release (starting October 2023). If we had to guess, we’d think the movie will be released in the fall of 2023. Animation studio MAPPA has also worked on Jujutsu Kaisen 0, Attack on Titan, and the forthcoming Chainsaw Man, all of which debuted within the Fall timeframe. That’s a busy timetable for any studio, and they’ll have plenty of time to produce a second season that meets their impossibly high standards from October 2023 onwards. –
Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen: what stories might it adapt?
As of chapter 64 in the manga’s Death Painting Arc, Jujutsu Kaisen’s first season had over. Chapters 65 to 79 are covered in the manga’s Gojo’s Past Arc if the anime continues to follow release order. It’s based on a mission that Gojo and Geto undertook to transport a Star Plasma Vessel to Tengen in the past. Is this true, then season two may have flashbacks to Gojo’s background, as well as the Shibuya Incident, a crucial plot point for the third season? (chapters 79-136). The Shibuya Incident Arc centres around a scheme to shut away Goto, led by Gojo and his new cursed alliance in the Shibuya Incident.
This is the most likely option, as there is more than enough material to fill the second season of 25 episodes. The conclusion of the first season may also suggest this. Yuji and Nobara rejoin Megumi after defeating the Cursed Wombs Eso and Kechizu. Even though Yuji’s finger gets eaten by Sukuna, Yuji is one step closer to returning to his former glory. The third Cursed Womb triplet, Choso, has formed an alliance with Geto and Mahito, two of the show’s most infamous villains, for the upcoming season.
The mole at Jujutsu High is also a problem, and instructor Utahime is on the prowl for the cunning magician. That’ll be a big part of next year’s season, too. Towards the close of Season 2, Gojo offers a new task to the newly promoted Grade 1 Sorcerers, Yuji, Megumi, Nobara, Maki, and Panda.
Where can I see the first season of Jujutsu Kaisen?
