“Love After Global Domination,” a shonen novel with the same title, tells the unexpected courtship of “Gelato 5” hero Fudo Aikawa and Desumi Magahara, the wicked queen of the organisation “Gecko,” as they strive for global peace. They are only enemies when they are under the careful eye of someone else. In episode two, they take a break from fighting to take a photo together, but Desumi likes Fudo so much that he pretends to be beaten when one of his buddies arrives.
Desumi subsequently asks Fudo out on the advice of an inebriated friend, which leads to a rendezvous in the gym.
