After the Code arc’s rapid-fire disclosures, the storyline had calmed down the previous time Boruto embarked on an arc. In his hideout, Code planned to strike Amado in the right place and at the right time after returning from his travels. As Boruto Uzumaki and his friends reflected on the events of the past, he gained a better understanding of his own capabilities. Konoha was seen debating how to handle Kawaki, and Naruto says he’ll have a lengthy conversation with him when he wakes up.
Despite being stopped by Bronco, Konoha’s very own Delta, and Code’s attack on Shikamaru and Amado when they were alone was the most dramatic part of this chapter. But when Ada entered the picture, the situation shifted back in Code’s favour as things began to become more interesting. While we wait for Boruto Chapter 69, we may expect this and much more.
Chapter 69’s Summary
In light of what he learnt from Momoshiki, Boruto reveals the details of his resurrection to Amado, Katasuke, and Sai. It is impossible for Boruto to resurrect Momoshiki, yet Amado claims that his consciousness still persists. Boruto does not require the medications at this time, according to Katasuke. Momoshiki has altered him in ways that he can’t articulate but feels that he’s now better equipped to utilise it than he was before. Naruto, Ibiki, Shikamaru and Sumire are all soothed by the fact that Kawaki is safe and sound as they watch him.
Sumire was sent to check on Kawaki because of Shikamaru’s objection to Amado being near Kawaki before interrogating him. Although Ibiki questions Shikamaru’s rationale for not putting constraints on Kawaki, Shikamaru insists that the only alternative is to avoid antagonising him by not applying restraints at all. They believe he will remain a buddy as long as he is focused solely on keeping Naruto safe.
Naruto is looking forward to a long talk with Kawaki when he wakes up. Shikamaru and Sumire both notice a weight in the air and make inquiries about it.
