So be ready for some pleasant endings to the Spade Kingdom Arc next week on 15 April 2022, after the strong action panels that we saw in Black Clover Chapter 330. Asta, Liebe, and Lucita’s dramatic trek to slashing the Demon King into three parts and standing above announcing triumph for mankind was shown in the last chapter. Lucita’s sacrifice to ensure Liebe’s survival was overshadowed by the mangaka’s desire for one more chapter devoted to the final demise of Lucifero.
Lucifero’s corpse is seen to Asta and Liebe walking away from it in this chapter, but the lifeless corpse with blood gushing from its heart comes up and utilises his gravitational power on them. Lucifero is exerting all of his strength while Asta is eliminating anti-gravity, making them unstoppable. For a plot hole, it’s a long shot. When they get up, though, Nacht and Yami come up with a new plan. Ending the chapter, Lucifero’s associate smiles as Yami performs his black void technique and Nacht assists Asta in getting into the best position to deliver the last blow.
The next arc’s possible outcomes
Lucifero constantly notes throughout the chapter that his strength in the underworld is just half that of his former might. In light of this, I wonder if Lucifero may return through another ritual. Because of the Spade kingdom rite, it takes years to bring the demon lord back to life. Two of the most powerful magic knights in existence, therefore Lucifero’s return to this plain appears implausible. Another option the mangaka has when pushing the magic knights to face a fully-powered Lucifero is to have a particular group descend into the underworld with them.
In this scenario, Lucifero and Asta would face off in the last showdown to bring an end to the demon king once and for all. Even yet, the struggle between Megicula and Noelle deserves a second look, as the latter’s rescue of the damsel-in-distress by Asta was lacking in emotional impact.
