The developers said in a post on the Two Point forums that more time was required to complete platform optimization before the game could be released. The company intends to release Two Point Campus on both Windows PCs and consoles at the same time, in order to provide gamers with the “highest possible quality game” regardless of platform.
According to game director Mark Webley, “this means we’ll need a little bit extra time with Two Point Campus to make sure we provide the greatest possible game that can be played equally on all platforms.”
A developer vision video, which goes over some of the new features that the team plans to release with Two Point Campus, was also released in conjunction with the announcement of the postponement. The studio’s follow-up to Two Point Hospital puts a comic slant on the college experience in its latest release, College.
Instead of taking statistics or chemistry lessons, players can enrol in “Knight School” and learn how to joust, or they can enrol in the Gastronomy degree programme and learn how to prepare huge pizzas the size of a sedan, among other things.
It was originally scheduled to be released on May 17, but developer Two Point Studios has moved the release date of their hilarious higher education simulator, Two Point Campus, to August 9 instead.
