Hyper Scape’s spiritual sequel, Pathfinder, is presently under development by Ubisoft. Developed by Ubisoft Montreal, Hyper Scape was published in the summer of 2020 as a free-to-play battle royale first-person shooter. Using a special Twitch plugin, participants may invite their viewers to tune in to their broadcasts of the game. By voting on events in real-time, fans were able to influence the result of the war in a significant way. Ubisoft finally shelved the game despite its fascinating features. Hyper Scape was abandoned by Ubisoft less than two years after its release, declaring this April as the final month the game will be live.
The halt was announced earlier this month, but there was no explanation provided. Ubisoft’s first-person shooter, Hyper Scape, has a dwindling player population and viewership, resulting in a lack of interest in the game. In response to some of the issues and criticisms about Hyper Scape’s gameplay, Ubisoft has made several changes. Even the game’s development crew was reorganised by the firm to better serve the company’s needs. In spite of the team’s efforts to correct problems, the game will shut down this month. Pathfinder, a new game now in development by Ubisoft but once known as Hyper Scape, may serve as a type of spiritual successor to the battle royale.
According to eXputer, photos and videos purporting to be of Pathfinder bear striking resemblances to those of Hyper Scape. Though a touch is more cartoonish, Pathfinder’s graphics are quite similar to Hyper Scape’s. Pathfinder is a third-person shooter battle royale that has players find a way to the centre of the area to face the primary AI boss in the middle of the game. If a gate is breached in one game, it may be locked in another, and so on. No one would be surprised to hear that Pathfinder’s gameplay may be compared to Hyper Scape’s. Developers pledged to use what they learned from Hyper Scape in future games in Ubisoft’s announcement of the game’s closure.
Even though Pathfinder is a spiritual sequel, this is most likely the case with Ubisoft’s game. In the new battle royale, participants will be given special abilities and be referred to as “Heroes.” In Hyper Scape, players could earn special skills via looting, and this reminds me of such hacks. Ubisoft may have preserved the premise of unique powers from Hyper Scape in Pathfinder, but modified it such that players may no longer swap out these skills. Only time will tell how Pathfinder’s unique talents and other aspects will work out. Whatever the case may be, Ubisoft is likely to retain in mind the most problematic aspects of Hyper Scape. There’s a possibility that Pathfinder might be seen as a tribute or spiritual sequel to the 2020 battle royale title.
