A new book by Shawn Fonteno reveals the origins of Franklin in Grand Theft Auto V

The actor and rapper who plays Franklin Clinton in Grand Theft Auto V, Shawn “Solo” Fonteno, has written a biography about his time in San Andreas, which you can read here. Three separate characters are included in Rockstar Games’ open-world adventure in 2013, which includes Franklin, Michael De Santa, and Trevor Philips. He just resurfaced in GTA Online’s Franklin’s feature, where Fonteno is searching for Dr. Dre’s phone. The Contract update brought Franklin back to GTA Online’s San Andreas eight years after he first appeared there in GTAV. A phone full of unreleased songs is found by the gangster, Dr. Dre, and Franklin’s dog Chop; he also invites along his best buddy, Lamar Davis.

GTA Online now has new music, a new radio station, and new weaponry thanks to the Contract. Besides catching up on what had happened since GTAV, players may rewatch Lamar’s roast of Franklin to pay tribute to one of the game’s most memorable moments. In addition, Shawn Fonteno has written a book titled Game Changer: My Journey from the Streets to Your Video Game Console. From his days as a real-world gang member to his role in Grand Theft Auto V, Fonteno’s life is chronicled in this self-reflective autobiography. Fonteno’s street cred was valued by Rockstar Games, according to the book’s synopsis, and his life experiences helped him lend authenticity and realism to Franklin’s part.

As well as sharing the memoir on social media, Shawn Fonteno has made the book available for purchase on his website as well. Following an eight-year exile from GTA Online, Franklin was brought back to life by Fonteno lately. The actor recently teased fans on Instagram with the possibility of Franklin having a third cameo in Grand Theft Auto, but he was intentionally vague about what that may entail. However, no specific release date has been announced by Rockstar Games for Grand Theft Auto 6, which is presently under active production.

Franklin Clinton’s comeback in GTA Online raises the possibility that he may return for a role in GTA 6. One of Grand Theft Auto’s most recognisable characters, Franklin Clinton, was brought to life by Shawn “Solo” Fonteno’s street experience. Game Changer claims to convey the full tale of the actor and rapper’s criminal past, which has allowed him to produce some of the most creative works of art. If you’re interested in learning more about Fonteno’s past and how GTAV came to be, you can now read his intriguing autobiography.
