After inviting Tom Nook to tea, an Animal Crossing fan receives a delightful surprise

After inviting Tom Nook to the café, an Animal Crossing: New Horizons user uncovered a wonderful detail. The mascot for Nintendo’s social simulation series is the legendary raccoon dog, who is usually found running a village shop. While many gamers see Tom Nook from Animal Crossing: New Horizons as a villain, the tanuki does have a kinder side. Most Animal Crossing games begin with Tom Nook offering the player a house in return for a mortgage. This means that players are instantly in debt to Nook, and he is determined to collect Bells regardless of the Villager’s financial situation.

Many players have come to connect Tom Nook with avarice, and many Animal Crossing fans believe him to be the franchise’s major enemy. Others believe that the character treats the player properly by employing and selling them a house, while Tom Nook’s apprentices Tommy and Timmy show a more loving side to the famed swindler. After inviting Tom Rook to the café, Animal Crossing: New Horizons gamer and Reddit user machi ballroom received a pleasant surprise. Players can ask certain neighbours to join them for a hot beverage at Brewster’s, and they usually arrive alone. machi ballroom, on the other hand, learnt that Tom Nook will bring Tommy and Timmy with him to spend some quality time with the player.

Villagers bringing others to the café is a one-of-a-kind occurrence that demonstrates how much the raccoon dog adores his two trainees. While Tom Nook has become the Animal Crossing series’ de facto mascot, the tanuki had his first English-language appearance in Super Smash Bros. In December 2001, Tom Nook appears as a collectable trophy in Smash Bros. Melee, explaining his profession as a shopkeeper and realtor. However, because the first Animal Crossing version did not arrive in these regions until September 2002, people who played Nintendo’s crossover fighting game entry got a sneak peek at the famed anthropomorphic raccoon dog. Players of Animal Crossing have grown to loathe Tom Nook since they constantly appear to owe the character money at the start of each new game. Tommy and Timmy, on the other hand, assist to humanise the memorable Villager, and based on machi ballroom’s discoveries, he appears to care for his two young children. While their exact relationship is unknown, Tom Nook certainly like the two boys enough to take them on a fun café excursion.
