RDR2 and Vice City locations combine in GTA 6’s map concept

A Grand Theft Auto 6 map inspired by Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Red Dead Redemption 2 was recently revealed by a Rockstar Games fan on Reddit. In recent years, and especially since Rockstar confirmed that GTA 6 is in production, fans of the series have been speculating about what its next-generation entry will look like. For many GTA fans, the wait has been excruciating. The last complete GTA game was released in 2013, and since then, Rockstar has only released re-releases and several upgrades to GTA Online. There has been no official word from the creators on what GTA 6 will look like despite the fact that many people expected it to be revealed.

In Rockstar’s games, open-worlds are the most prominent feature. Game worlds like Vice City (which is still mentioned in Grand Theft Auto VI) are based on real-world locales like Miami in the GTA and Red Dead Redemption series of games. When it comes to building a large representation of the American South, Red Dead Redemption 2 takes this notion to a whole new level by establishing imaginary cities and villages.

WaIkertexasranger, a Reddit member, has published a fictional map of GTA 6 that incorporates Vice City and Red Dead Redemption 2’s areas. Two of the major cities are Vice City and Saint-Denis. Vice City is located in the southwest corner of the map, while Saint-Denis is located in the west (the city Saint-Denis is based upon). Filling in gaps between the mash-up cities and areas, such as Lemoyne State Prison, have also been envisioned as part of this mock-up. This fan-made map is not only beautifully drawn, but it also contains some intriguing concepts. GTA 6 is expected to be a lot like Red Dead Redemption 2, thus it would be amazing if some of the map elements from that game were incorporated into GTA 6.

GTA games are known for their sprawling, metropolitan landscapes, but destinations like Guarma, a Cuban-inspired island, would be a refreshing change of pace. To what extent GTA 6’s players may look forward to seeing this type of map is an open question. To use this map, Rockstar would have to make an enormous proclamation that might force them into a creative hole, because the concept that the Red Dead series and the GTA games share a world is primarily based on fan theories and little Easter clues. In any case, the prospect of Grand Theft Auto 6 including certain elements from both Vice City and Red Dead Redemption 2 is sure to excite the gaming community.
