Aloy has made the switch from Horizon Forbidden West’s wild ruins to Night City’s cruel streets thanks to one skilled Cyberpunk 2077 fan. Open-world games like Horizon Forbidden West and Cyberpunk 2077 both take place in a futuristic environment, but Cyberpunk 2077 places players in an urban scene depicting mankind at its worst, while Horizon deals with existence after human civilization was wiped out by an out-of-control AI. The Witcher 3’s warrior princess Ciri has been recreated by certain Cyberpunk 2077 gamers to explore Night City, thanks to this last portion. It has been shown in the form of fanart that Cyberpunk 2077 and other series have crossed over, such as the image that was posted by the voice actress of Mass Effect’s Biotic ex-con Jack.
For those of you who missed it, a fan-made film put Mr Bean in Night City for one wild night on the town; gamers have detected little Easter Eggs to movies like Chappie, which was released in 2015. A Cyberpunk 2077 character modelled like Horizon Forbidden West’s Aloy was recently published on Reddit by user BLACK- -HAND (via Game Rant). Even in the altered aesthetic of Cyberpunk 2077, Aloy’s distinctive haircut and tribal garb are instantly recognised. To get close enough to the Savior of the Claim’s appearance in Horizon Forbidden West, BLACK- -HAND used up to 20 PC modifications for Cyberpunk 2077 to achieve their goal of recreating her look.
It was particularly difficult to create Aloy’s look because there isn’t much clothing in Cyberpunk 2077 that resembles what the characters in Horizon generally wear. Aloy, the protagonist of Horizon: Zero Dawn, has become a fan favourite since her debut in the 2017 game, and she has subsequently appeared in games like Fortnite and Genshin Impact. Recently, Horizon Forbidden West was published for PlayStation consoles and received rave reviews, with Aloy embarking on a daring journey to repair the terraforming AI GAIA and cure her sickly nation.
To counteract this, a new patch from CD Projekt Red for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox One X brought numerous long-promised features that had been missing since the game’s contentious debut in 2020 back into the spotlight. Since Cyberpunk 2077 was discounted on Steam during the Autumn Sale a few months ago, CDPR’s gritty post-modern RPG has seen an uptick in good feedback from PC owners. Fans of Horizon Forbidden West might not know what to make of the busy world of Cyberpunk 2077, but a fan picture by BLACK- -HAND depicts what Aloy would look like in Night City. Having to deal with hulking robots and psychotic cultists on a daily basis, the Savior of the Claim may not find the different gangs of Cyberpunk 2077 to be that difficult.
