According to a statement from developer HoYoVerse, the open-world game Genshin Impact will host a new event in its 2.5 release. Live-service aspects, limited-time deals, and frequent gameplay adjustments and improvements have helped the world-famous Japanese MMORPG sweep the world by storm over the past year. Things in Genshin Impact seldom stay the same for long; new material, characters, and in-game events are regularly unlocked and added to the game’s experience.
With the addition of a playable Dendro character due shortly, Genshin Impact boasts a wealth of in-game purchases and bonuses that one would expect from a F2P game. It’s not just the in-game purchases and DLCs that keep this game going; it’s also the unique events like the Divine Ingenuity Event, which let players construct their own domain. There will be no rest for the weary, however, since HoYoverse has now announced an upcoming event called “Three Realm Gateway” via the Genshin Impact Twitter account. According to HoYoVerse’s release, this event will feature fresh material and mission objectives.
To commemorate their accomplishments, players will be able to earn rare gifts such as the “Crown of Insight,” “Oathsworn Eye,” and “Thousand Light Trials.” Refinement ingredients for these prizes can also be earned by players. For these events, players must have at least a 30 adventure rank and have completed specified Act 2 tasks in order to participate. Once the 2.5 events have ended, gamers will no longer be able to access the special content that was made available just during the event. Officially, “Update maintenance begins 2022/02/16 06:00 (UTC+8) and is anticipated to last 5 hours.” Special events and seasonal updates are what keep Genshin Impact alive as a loot-based game.
To keep interested alive, similar to other free-to-play games such as Warzone, new maps, operators, and weapons must be added on a regular basis. Genshin Impact 2.5’s Three Realms Gateway event will undoubtedly succeed if it can suitably shake things up. “Complete the Event exploration tasks to receive Primogems, Weapon Ascension Materials, and more,” HoYoVerses tells participants that they should do so. It’s not for everyone, but for those who enjoy event-based, live-service games, Genshin Impact appears to be an excellent choice. The concentration on exploration and loot-gathering makes Genshin Impact distinct from most live-service games in this sense. Hopefully, this approach will keep the game fresh.
