In the latest chapter of Tokyo Revengers, Senju reveals something horrible about her childhood that has been kept hidden from her. There’s evidence to suggest that Mikey’s “dark urges” date all the way back to his childhood.
Summary of Chapter 241 of Tokyo Revengers
As a child in elementary school, Mikey had a special plastic model of an aeroplane that he shared with Haruchiyo, Senju, and Baji. Baji, Senju, and Haruchiyo were also interested in playing with it, but Mikey forbids them from doing so because it is his property. When Senju stated that she, too, desired a plastic model of the plane, Takeomi reprimanded Haruchiyo, pointing out that Senju was referring to herself in the male form of the word “I.” He informs him that he must serve as a positive role model for his younger sister.
Because their father is a single parent who is constantly on the go, the Akashi children spend a lot of time at their grandmother’s house, with Takeomi acting as a father figure for the family. Senju says that, despite the fact that Takeomi punished Haruchiyo as a result of her, he was still relatively friendly to her despite the situation. Haruchiyo, on the other hand, finally grew tired of being chastised by Takeomi for whatever Senju had done. Senju took advantage of the fact that no one was home to play with Mikey’s aeroplane one day. She fell over the toy while running around with it, and the toy broke.
When Mikey inquired as to who had broken his toy aeroplane, Senju responded that it had been Haruchiyo who had done it. Later, she hears Baji scream in the distance. When she got outside, she found the sides of Haruchiyo’s mouth had been ripped open, Mikey’s hands were covered in blood, and Baji was lying on the ground. Senju informs Takemichi that Mikey’s expression on that particular day was the same expression he had during the War of the Three Deities a year earlier. Mikey instructs Haruchiyo to laugh, and Haruchiyo does so as well. Senju holds herself responsible for what transpired between them. But she believes it is too late to do anything now because it is too late to do anything about the situation. Takemichi assures her that this is not the end of the storey. He assures Senju that they still have time to turn things around.
