Flabébé, Floette, and Florges have been added to the game for the Valentine’s Day event by Niantic. Pokéstops in the real world may be found in a free-to-play augmented reality game known as Pokémon GO. Pokémon Raid Battles and Gym Raids allow users to compete against each other in a multiplayer environment, battling powerful and rare Pokémon for valuable rewards or pitting themselves against other players’ teams to acquire possession of a gym.
With frequent updates and spectacular events, the game’s fan following has remained devoted for over six years, despite its age. One of the primary means through which Pokémon GO maintains its level of intrigue is through the use of events. Events in the game provide chances to capture uncommon Pokémon, whether they’re long-running like the Season of Heritage or shorter but more widespread like the Pokémon GO tours.
In order to receive additional prizes, players can perform Special Research Tasks during special events. Rare movesets, free raid tickets, and even cosmetically changed Pokémon are commonplace at several events. This year’s Valentine’s Day event will be hosted by Niantic, who announced their intentions today. From Thursday, February 10th, until Sunday, February 14th, the event will be taking place. Between the 9th and the 15th of this month, Pokémon GO will include a global challenge for users to deliver 70,000,000 presents, which will include Flabébé, Floette, and Florges.
During the event, players who accomplish the challenge will earn a 3x candy transfer bonus. Furfrou’s Heart Trim shape will also be changed at the event. Lure modules will last twice as long, and you’ll get double candy for capturing Pokémon throughout the event. Buddy Pokémon will also be more likely to deliver their trainer’s presents. Trainers who complete all of the event’s themed collecting tasks will be able to capture both a male and a female Frillish.
There is a distinct regional flavour to the event as well, with Yellow Flower Flabrebé being found only in the Americas, while Blue Flower Flabrebé is found only in the Asian-Pacific, and Red Flower Flabrebé is found in Europe and the Middle East and Africa, with the rarer White and Orange Flower Flabres being found in any region where they are encountered. However, these aren’t the only exciting interactions that players can expect to have with wild Pokémon while participating in the event. Chansey, Plusle, Minun, Volbeat, Ilumise and Alomomola may appear in Shiny versions, as may Ilumise, Luvdisc, Miltank, Audino and Woobat.
There has been an annual ritual of adding new Pokémon to the PokéDex on Valentine’s Day, and dedicated gamers will eagerly await the latest additions. Flabébé and its evolutions have been added to the game, along with a slew of shiny Pokémon that can be obtained during the Valentine’s Day event. This Pokémon GO event, like all others, offers great benefits for those that participate.
