Pokémon Legends: Arceus is doing a distribution event for Hisuian Growlithe in the United States. As of this writing, this event will be held at a GameStop rather than an online Mystery Gift event like the early-adopter apparel items in the game. Legends: Arceus takes place in the Hisui area, a predecessor to the Sinnoh territory from Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. There are Hisuian varieties of existing Pokémon in the Hisui area, which is one of the main distinctions between the regions.
Heavily maned and horned, Hisuian Growlithe was one of the first Hisuian Pokémon to be introduced. Hisuian Growlithe is a Rock/Fire-type Pokémon, while the conventional form of Growlithe that appeared in Pokémon Red and Blue is a Fire-type Pokémon. Growlithe in Hisuian form is distinct from Growlithe in the usual form since it was created in a different environment from the one in which the normal version of Growlithe was created. One of the first distribution events for Pokémon Legends: Arceus will include a free Hisuian Growlithe for gamers in the United States.
The Serebii Twitter account claims that a Hisuian Growlithe giveaway event would be placed at Gamestop from February 25 to March 13. Also included are twenty Feather Balls. Unlike previous dual-release Pokémon games, Pokémon Legends: Arceus allows you to catch every single Pokémon in the game without trading. After completing the Cobalt Coastlands, the third major location in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, it will be a while until the player encounters a Hisuian Growlithe by chance.
It will be beneficial to those who are just beginning the game and are looking for a Hisuian Growlithe to add to their roster. There’s no indication yet on whether or not this distribution event will be available outside of the United States. It’s possible that this could remain a retailer exclusive in the US and it won’t receive a worldwide equivalent.
At least it’s possible to catch Hisuian Growlithe with relative ease in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, so players aren’t missing out if they can’t attend this distribution event. There have been GameStop events involving Shiny Zacian and Zamazenta in the past, which normally cannot be acquired in their games, due to their base versions being Shiny-locked in Pokémon Sword and Shield.
