The Contract update for Grand Theft Auto Online includes new music from Dr Dre, which can now be heard on a variety of digital music providers, including Apple Music. In December 2021, Rockstar Games released GTA Online’s Contract upgrade, a story-driven experience starring characters from both the old and the new.
Franklin Clinton, Lamar Davis, and Chop the dog were all featured prominently in the content release for Grand Theft Auto V. Dr Dre also appeared in the Grand Theft Auto Online update, as a legendary rapper and producer. Franklin, who is now the head of a celebrity solutions firm, is shown helping Dr Dre find a phone that has a trove of previously recorded songs.
In addition to his involvement in the game, Dre has a collaboration with Rockstar Games that goes beyond that. Eminem’s song “Gospel,” which appeared on the GTA soundtrack for the first time, was produced by the artist, who also contributed his musical abilities to the production. All of Dr Dre tracks from GTA Online: The Contract is now available to stream on a number of music providers, Rockstar Games said in a press release.
Apple Music and Spotify subscribers may now add six new Dr Dre tracks to their playlists. “Black Privilege,” “Gospel,” “The Scenic Route,” “ETA,” “Fallin’ Up,” and “Diamond Mind” round out the star-studded track selection. It’s been a long time coming for these six tracks to be available on streaming services. Again, the GTA Online update starring Dr Dre was released in mid-December.
It’s safe to say that a lot of Grand Theft Auto and Dr Dre fans will enjoy the wait. Rockstar Games has a lot to share today, and this is just one of several big announcements. Grand Theft Auto 5 PS5 and Xbox Series X/S upgrades will be available on March 15 next month, Rockstar and publisher Take-Two Interactive confirmed. Up to 4K graphics, ray tracing and 60 FPS performance are expected in the port for current-generation consoles. Improved textures are also expected. GTA 6’s development has been confirmed by the company, but no additional information has been released.
