Day one patch for Dying Light 2, the much-awaited successor to the survival horror game Dying Light, is expected to fix over 1,000 flaws. While day one patches are normal for new releases, the magnitude of the patch for Dying Light 2 is certainly rare for a game of this calibre to get one. Aidan Caldwall, a new protagonist from the first game, will return in Dying Light 2. 15 years after Dying Light, a zombie apocalypse has descended on the last inhabited city on Earth.
Daytime zombies in Dying Light move more slowly, whereas nighttime zombies are more agile and fast. The player will have to escape and explore the open environment of Dying Light 2 while avoiding the infected as they complete various tasks by using ultraviolet light, traps, and parkour abilities. The game is a technological marvel, utilising hang gliders and grappling hooks in addition to thousands of parkour movements.
There is, however, the potential for problems with all of these technologies. New reports from IGN claim that Dying Light 2 will receive a massive day one patch that will fix over 1,000 issues. Techland, Dying Light 2’s developer, acknowledged to IGN the number of bug fixes and said it will continue to refine and enhance the PC version.
Dying Light 2’s PC and console versions may still be plagued by glitches, but Techland is aware of them and plans to address them in the future. Dying Light 2’s Nintendo Switch release has been postponed many months, however, the PC version will be out on February 4th. Technical troubles may or may not have afflicted the Nintendo Switch edition of Dying Light 2, but Dying Light 2 has had a rough start. Fans of the first game believe that the many bug patches for Dying Light 2 will put the game in a playable state when it is released. One of the most eagerly anticipated games of early 2022, with approximately 500 hours of gameplay, will be launched on March 1, 2022. A few hours may be needed for those who wish to begin their 500-hour trip on day one of Dying Light 2 by downloading the big day one patch.
