Developed by the same indie team that brought you, Shovel Knight, Mina the Hollower is a new top-down action game with retro aesthetics and frantic gameplay. Shovel Knight, a 2D side-scrolling action-adventure game inspired by some of the best classic Nintendo Entertainment System games, was Yacht Club Games’ first release and received critical acclaim around the world.
A couch co-op multiplayer mode and a number of additional storey campaigns have been added to the original Shovel Knight since its release in 2014. Fans of the original game got a tonne of new material as a result of the game’s successful crowd-funding campaign. Yacht Club Games announced Shovel Knight on the crowd-funding website Kickstarter early in the game’s development. It was originally planned to raise $75,000, but the little indie developer ended up with more than $310,000, which enabled a massive quantity of post-launch material.
