Ghostwire: YouTube description reveals March release date for Tokyo

Ghostwire: Tokyo’s release date has been revealed to be March 2022 in a video set to go live on PlayStation’s official YouTube channel. Ghostwire: Tokyo, a PlayStation 5 exclusive developed by Tango Gameworks, was previously scheduled for release in October 2021. However, publisher Bethesda Softworks and Tango postponed the project last summer, extending it to 2022 in an effort to avoid cramming through the last months of production. The company has subsequently shown more of the game in motion, although at this point no official word has been released regarding its release date. Finally, Ghostwire: Tokyo will arrive for PlayStation 5 on March 24, according to a PlayStation Store entry that appeared in January.

Although Sony and Bethesda haven’t publicly verified it, many are left wondering if the listing serves as little more than a misnomer, especially given the date in question is just around the corner and information surrounding the launch is scarce at best. The PlayStation Store listing for Ghostwire: Tokyo isn’t far off the mark, according to recent events. A strange thing was discovered on the official PlayStation YouTube channel by the website Push Square. The account will hold a Ghostwire: Tokyo presentation at 4:00 PM CST on February 3.

Due to the release date of the spooky adventure game, this video explanation is very intriguing. Ghostwire: Tokyo will be available only on PS5 on March 25, 2022, according to the game’s description, one day before the release date indicated on the PlayStation Store. Pre-order additional material is also hinted at in a tiny paragraph, although the contents aren’t mentioned here. According to all we know about Ghostwire: Tokyo so far, it’s reasonable to infer that the game will be released in late March.

It’s also been a long time coming since the album will be released. Tango Gameworks and Bethesda introduced the secret project during the publisher’s E3 2019 briefing, promising an experience, unlike anything the company has ever created. Next week’s webcast should shed much more light on this mystery.

Ghostwire: Tokyo takes place in a dystopian Tokyo where terrible forces have decimated the city’s inhabitants, as implied by the game’s title. The unusual phenomenon appears to be the work of a formidable magician, leaving behind a trail of horrors and mystery. In the quest for revenge, participants might expect to join forces with another supernatural creature.
