Using Survival Mode, a talented Minecraft user has recreated the oceanside mansion of Tony Stark from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The vast apartment that Robert Downey Jr. played as Tony Stark, the wealthy weapons dealer-turned-superhero, in the three stand-alone Iron Man movies, will be familiar to fans of Robert Downey Jr.’s screen portrayal of Tony Stark. A covert attack by Aldrich Killian’s AIM soldiers during the events of 2013’s Iron Man 3 damaged this mansion, but Tony was able to relocate for the rest of his MCU career. It’s no secret that the creative sandbox of Minecraft has been used to build intriguing reproductions of iconic Marvel sites and things such as Tony Stark’s New York City-based Tower of Terror and Thanos’ Infinity Gauntlet.
Before Alfred Molina’s return as Doc Ock in Spider-Man: No Way Home, a Minecraft fan built an enormous Doc Ock statue out of blocks in anticipation of the film’s release in December. Not to mention the Avengers-themed Minecraft DLC pack that Minecraft and Marvel collaborated on in 2013, which allowed players to outfit their avatars as characters such as Captain America and the Hulk. The Malibu mansion of Tony Stark from the Marvel Cinematic Universe was recently recreated by Reddit user SapphireCrafty and shared on r/Minecraft.
Using the Survival Mode in Minecraft, they crafted this massive waterside manor, meticulously reproducing Tony Stark’s opulent estate down to the smallest of details. Some players have praised SapphireCrafty’s work in the comments, while others joked about the mansion’s final demise in Iron Man 3. For Minecraft users eager to sharpen their building abilities, Marvel movies are far from the only source of inspiration.
There have been blocky recreations of the legendary Echo-1 from Ghostbusters as well as the treacherous Glass Bridge from Squid Game. Minecraft enthusiasts have even remade the training hall from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword and the Great Fox from Star Fox as a tribute to other video games. One player built a gigantic model GameBoy that plays the intro to Pokemon: Yellow, while another reproduced the look and moves of Valorant’s Jett in Minecraft. To compare with the real thing, SapphireCrafty’s Minecraft recreation of Tony Stark’s opulent MCU waterside estate has incredible attention to detail. If there are any exploding Creepers in this mansion, Tony Stark might have to rebuild his vast collection of Iron Man suits if the mansion doesn’t have a few Stark-designed Iron Drones.
