There are 40 mechanical opponents for Aloy to pursue, combat, and even ride in the official strategy guide for Horizon: Forbidden West, which is currently available for pre-order. From the diminutive Watchers to the towering Tallnecks that players can climb on and befriend with Aloy’s Override ability, Horizon: Zero Dawn’s post-apocalyptic open world of The Claim is littered with robotic animals.
Each of these enemies has its own set of strengths and weaknesses, as well as areas that are prone to particular elemental effects like Burn or Corruption. Beyond the ruins of the United States that served as the setting for Horizon Zero Dawn, the upcoming sequel Horizon: Forbidden West promises to introduce players to exciting new adversary types on top of the returning animals from the original game. Aloy will be accompanied by giant boss-like creatures like Forbidden West’s new acid-spewing Slitherfang serpent and amphibious machines thanks to Horizon: Forbidden West’s new underwater transversal system.
To make things even more difficult for Aloy, Guerilla Games has vowed to upgrade the AI from Horizon: Zero Dawn for Forbidden West. Fortunately, a strategy guide for Horizon: Forbidden West will be released by Gurilla Games and game guide publisher Future Press, as reported by Game Rant. There are 40+ “intricately built machines that stalk the Forbidden West” in this new game guide, which can be pre-ordered on Amazon UK today. Clawstriders, Bristlebacks, and Burrowers are rumoured to be among the new adversaries that will be introduced in the game.
Horizon: Zero Dawn, on the other hand, had 27 different mechanical foes, including those in the Frozen Wilds DLC that was published in November 2017. As in Horizon: Zero Dawn, Aloy will face more than just machines in the Forbidden West. It’s been revealed in recent Horizon: Forbidden West plot trailers that the former outcast is confronting a violent rebel tribe that is standing in her way of finding the truth about a mystery illness that is spreading across the earth.
Due to the fact that Horizon: Forbidden West has a new weaponry tree and a redesigned melee combat system as well as six various play styles for Aloy, there will be plenty of ways for him to defeat all of these new foes. Gamers of Horizon: Zero Dawn can expect more of what they loved in Horizon: Forbidden West, including a wide variety of visually stunning robotic creatures that will either attack or assist Aloy on her journey through the Forbidden West’s untamed world. Horizon: Zero Dawn developer Guerrilla Games has promised. If recent reports are to be believed, it will take “several hundred hours” to complete Horizon: Forbidden West when it launches in February.
