Although the series is known for its over-the-top violence, detail, and humour, its unique art design flawlessly sets the mood of each game and provides players a peek of what they may anticipate when entering into Rockstar Games’ universe. Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas were re-released in November 2021 across consoles and PC, allowing modern audiences to experience the classic PS2-era titles reworked for current-generation platforms with visual enhancements and gameplay improvements.
The GTA Definitive Edition on each platform has a somewhat distinct look and feel, with higher-resolution graphics, longer draw distances, improved lighting, weather effects, and modern controls. Unfortunately, dissatisfied users took to social media shortly after the game’s release to rail against its graphical problems and other flaws.

Claude Speed from Grand Theft Auto III, Tommy Vercetti from Vice City, and Carl Johnson from San Andreas are all stitched together to create the ideal collection cover for the games. Indeed, the high-quality and mint condition of the image makes it appear to be an official Rockstar product. Though the latest GTA trilogy remasters was met with some backlash, it remained true to the series’ original vision, with cartoon-like graphics and a more cartoonish approach to gameplay.
It has been the same cover image design since the debut of Grand Theft Auto III, and Rockstar continues to do so with each new Grand Theft Auto game. In spite of the fact that the Grand Theft Auto trilogy has been around for over a decade, artists like Patrick Brown keep the series fresh and relevant. With its wide range of characters and visuals, the original trilogy will continue to appeal to fans for many years to come.
