World Trigger is an anime adaptation of Daisuke Ashihara’s Japanese manga. Toei Animation released the first season of World Trigger in 2014, consisting of around 70 episodes. The season garnered positive reviews from the general public and concluded in 2016. The studio later revived the series for two additional seasons in 2021, with the original cast returning their roles.
However, the third season has concluded after fourteen fantastic episodes. The final episode of World Trigger Season 3 was recently released following a one-week delay. Is the fourth season of World Trigger planned?
Toei Animation had not yet confirmed Season 4 of the World Trigger anime. On the other hand, Japanese animation has a decent chance of getting renewed for a second season. As with the previous two seasons, World Trigger’s third season was favourably welcomed by anime enthusiasts. According to some viewers, Season 3 is the show’s greatest yet. Toei Animation would be irresponsible to end the series after only three seasons, in my perspective. Additionally, according to reports, Season 3 adapted the storey to manga Volume 22. World Trigger has been released in 24 volumes thus far, indicating that the studio has sufficient material to generate another season of the anime series.
Is there a date set for the release of World Trigger Season 4?
Of course, we’ll have to wait for formal confirmation from Toei before learning the exact release date for the second season. If the studio agrees to revive the show, a new season might broadcast in late 2022 or early 2023. World Trigger’s third season was released just a few months after the conclusion of Season 2. Thus, if the next season’s episode count remains below 15, the studio may be able to relaunch the show in less than a year.
