The anime television series Attack On Titan Season 4 Part 3 appears to be as inevitable as the routes that Eren Yeager is compelled to travel. However, when is Shingeki no Kyojin Season 4 Part 3 scheduled to air? Attack On Titan: The Final Season is technically a two-season anime. You may be wondering what a “cour” is. For those unfamiliar with the term, a “cour” is a three-month television programming block based on physical seasons, which are often comprised of ten to thirteen episodes.
A “split-cour” is when a single anime season goes on hiatus for several months before resuming television programming. Part 1 was unique in that it began airing at the conclusion of the Fall 2020 cour and concluded throughout the Winter 2021 cour. Consider the present day and Attack On Titan: The Final Season was advertised on FUNimation’s website as having a total of 28 episodes. Given that Part 1 consisted of 16 episodes, Part 2 will consist of 12 episodes.
According to this information, Attack On Titan Episode 87 will conclude Part 2. Assuming there are no unexpected transmission delays, Attack On Titan Season 4 Part 2 Episode 12 will premiere on March 27, 2022. The music for the OP (opening) and ED (ending) theme songs for Attack On Titan Season 4 Part 3 has not yet been confirmed. SiM performed the OP “The Rumbling” for S4 Part 2.
Ai Higuchi performed the S4 Part 2 ED “Akuma no Ko.”
The release date for Attack On Titan Season 4 Part 2 in the English dub
The English dub of Attack On Titan Season 4 was released by FUNimation in Winter 2021. The English dub release date for Attack On Titan Season 4 Part 2 has not yet been determined. Neither has the English dub for Attack On Titan Season 4 Part 3 been announced by FUNimation.
Later dubbed episodes’ release dates will be published on FUNimation’s Dub from the Home page. SnK Season 4 is available to stream on Crunchyroll in the United States of America, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand, as well as Iceland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, and the Netherlands, as well as Latin America.
The Netflix release date for Attack On Titan Season 4 Part 3 is exclusive to Japan, the Philippines, and other select Netflix areas. Netflix does not currently stream the latest episodes of Attack On Titan in the United States of America or other English-speaking countries.
Why does Attack On Titan Season 4 Part 3 or a feature film appear to be necessary?
The announcement that the ostensibly final season would have a sequel was unsurprising. Months in advance, Netflix Japan teased the Attack On Titan Season 4 Part 2 anime by mentioning Shingeki no Kyojin: The Final Season Part 1, implying that there would be a Part 2. Masafumi Mima, the sound director, tweeted a snapshot of a desk where he appeared to be working on the sound work in fall 2020. What stood out in the photo (apart from the dirty keyboard, which he presumably changed after everyone spotted) was the evident reference to Attack On Titan’s “Final Season Part 1.”
There are no other leaks indicating that Attack On Titan Season 4 Part 3 will be released. Rather than that, it’s a natural conclusion based on the number of episodes in Part 2 and the anime TV series’ general adaption pacing.
The 800-pound gorilla in the room is the limited quantity of S4 Part 2 episodes being produced. Some anime fans hoped that Part 2 would contain a comparable amount of episodes to Part 1 and would conclude the plot with approximately 14 to 16 episodes.
Rather than that, the fact that S4 Part 2 has only 12 episodes either indicates that the tale’s speed will pick up or that the plan is to conclude the storey with Attack On Titan Season 4 Part 3. Season 1’s first cour adapted twenty chapters, while the second cour adapted sixteen chapters into twelve episodes. Similarly, Season 2’s Clash of the Titans storey arc featured a 16-chapter to 12-episode ratio. The third season accelerated the pace by translating 40 chapters from two plot arcs into 22 episodes.
The conclusion of Chapter 90 of Volume 22 was altered for Part 2 of the third season.
The first eight episodes of Season 4 Part 1 adapted approximately 15 chapters, whereas the latter eight episodes adapted only 11 additional chapters. With 26 chapters converted, there are still 23 chapters remaining till Attack On Titan Chapter 139, the manga’s conclusion. Part 1 should have ended with Chapter 116 because it handled immediate conflicts, delivered a gut-punch of a significant character development moment, and then left anime fans hanging just before the Maleyan invasion began.
Part 2 (Attack On Titan Episode 76) continued the plot from Chapter 117 – Judgement in Volume 29. Additionally, because it was the start of a new cour, the anime episode adapted sequences from prior chapters, 114: Support and 115: Above and Below. Attack On Titan Episode 77 is officially titled Sneak Attack, while Attack On Titan Episode 78 is titled Two Brothers. Attack On Titan Episode 79 will be titled after Chapter 121: Memories of the Future, while Attack On Titan Episode 80 will be titled after Chapter 122: From You, 2,000 Years Ago, according to anime news leaker SPY.
According to the adaptation’s pace, that leaves 17 chapters and seven episodes to complete. Again, it is highly likely that the adaptation’s speed would accelerate at key points in the tale, but the question is whether the pacing will allow for Attack On Titan: The Final Season Part 3.
Of course, the anime series could be concluded with a final Attack On Titan film. However, this is contingent upon the conclusion of S4 Part 2. If Attack On Titan Episode 87 correlates to Chapter 130: The Dawn of Humanity, the next nine chapters would be far too long for a film but would be ideal for a short, single-cour television finale.
The majority of anime fans would prefer to see the last storey arcs translated into an anime television series.
However, it’s understandable why the anime production committee would want an Attack On Titan: The Rumbling film, as they’d like to replicate the phenomenal financial success of Demon Slayer: Mugen Train and Jujutsu Kaizen 0.
Predictions on the release date of Season 4 Part 3
As of the most recent update, neither MAPPA nor any other organisation involved in the production of the anime had officially announced the release date for Attack On Titan Season 4 Part 3. Neither has a third instalment’s production been announced. Once the news is confirmed officially, this post will be updated with pertinent details. In the meantime, speculations about the Shingeki no Kyojin Season 4 Part 3 release date are welcome.
Studio MAPPA has been appointed to the anime production committee for the last season of Attack On Titan. A committee is a collection of businesses that have invested in an anime project and are willing to share both the risk and the rewards. As such, MAPPA has a vested stake in the final season being a success. Additionally, they should have a greater say in how the storey concludes. As previously said, it is always possible that the adaptation pacing of S4 Part 2 could accelerate and the next chapters would be rushed. However, if Part 3 is required, the actual difficulty becomes Studio MAPPA’s availability.
Studio MAPPA, one may argue, already has a sufficient number of projects on its plate for 2022. Chainsaw Man, Jigokuraku, Dance Dance Danseur, Kakegurui Twin, and the Yuri on Ice film are among the titles available. Given that the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 film’s box office performance in Japan surpassed that of Demon Slayer: Mugen Train, it’s highly likely that the Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 anime will be revealed at some point. As a result, the release date for Attack On Titan Season 4 Part 3 is expected to be 2023. Keep an eye out!
