Shinra Kusakabe is a third-generation pyrokinetic with the ability to ignite his feet with fire. Shinra joins forces with Special Fire Force Company 8, a team of pyrokinetics, on a mission to deal with Infernals, people who have been transformed into living flames due to spontaneous combustion.
“Fire Force’s” second season ended in December 2020, and the show swiftly soared to become one of Amazon Prime Japan’s top five most-watched anime television shows (Via Anime News Network). Fans have clearly expressed their desire for a third season of the popular series, so here’s everything we know so far about Season 3 of “Fire Force.”
When will the third season of Fire Force be released?
Season 3 of “Fire Force” has yet to be confirmed, and no release date has been set for the third season. However, considering the show’s popularity, which has resulted in significant manga sales, there is reason to believe that a second season of the series is in the works and that an announcement might come as early as this summer. By the end of April, the manga had sold over 15 million copies, according to the official “Fire Force” Anime Twitter account. With such high ratings, it’s clear that the show is popular enough to warrant a second season.
According to Atsushi Kubo, the manga will be finished soon, which may create a delay in the development of a new anime season. In an interview with Monsters and Critics, the manga’s author, Okubo, said that while things could change, he expected the comic to end around volume 30. Furthermore, according to Anime News Network, in the manga’s 23rd volume, Okubo stated that the storey had come to an end and that “Fire Force” would be his final effort. Because the manga has been released in 28 volumes, there may be a slight delay in predicting when it will be finished. Season 3 could be launched in late 2020 or early 2021, although it’s more likely that an official announcement will come later in the year, with a release date likely to be sometime in 2022 or later.
What is the plot of Season 3 of Fire Force?
We don’t have any definite plot details about Season 3 of “Fire Force” at this time. Based on how closely the anime has followed the manga so far, we can fairly guess what Shinra will be up to in Season 3. Season 1 of the anime covered volumes 1 through some of volume 11, Season 2 covered the rest of book 11 up to some chapters of volume 20, and Season 3 covered the remaining chapters of volume 20. Unless the anime series deviates into filler territory like “Naruto” or “Bleach,” it’s possible that Season 3 may adapt volume 20 of the manga all the way up to its likely end if the book is actually nearing its conclusion.
If not already, the Season 2 conclusion appears to hint at a far wider war between Company 8 and the Evangelists in the future. Shinra’s training was pushed to a new level dubbed as “The Press Of Death” in order for him to become stronger and fight with the Company’s most dangerous opponents. Meanwhile, the assassination of Captain Hague of Company 4 in the season finale dealt a fatal blow to the heroes. Continue reading to learn more. Shinra, on the other hand, may make an Adolla Link, allowing him to watch Hague’s final moments due to his higher level of ability. As a result of these events, Company 8 will most likely join forces with the Tokyo Empire in Season 3 to take on the Evangelist’s strong forces.
