We now have a new poster and teaser to mark the recent revelation that Ainz Ooal Gowl will return in the fourth season of Overlord in 2022. It’s finally official! Next year, the anime shows Ainz Ooal Gowl and Overlord will return for a fourth season, which will be released in English. That alone should be enough to pique the interest of fans of the fantasy/isekai anime, but the new poster and video that were published to commemorate the news should be enough to raise the bar even higher.
Studio MADHOUSE will be in charge of the animation, while Naoyuki Itou will be directing once again. Yukie Sugawara will compose the soundtrack for the film, while Satoshi Tasaki will be in charge of the character design.
In addition, it has been confirmed that an Overlord film is in the works, which would adapt the Holy Kingdom plot arc from the light novels for the big screen.
To top it off, a fourth season and a movie are in the works, and a 2D side-scrolling action game, Overlord – Escape from Nazarick, will be released for the Nintendo Switch and Steam for the PC in 2019. The video game includes an original tale written by Overlord author Kugane Maruyama, in which players take on the role of Clementine as she attempts to flee from Nazarick.
