Fushiguro has gained a new buddy in the form of a comedian whose jokes aren’t landing. His sorcery skills, on the other hand, appear to be rather strong and proficient. Reggie, on the other hand, is just not going to let Fushiguro go.
Recap of Chapter 169 of Jujutsu Kaisen
Takaba volunteers to assist Fushiguro in his battle against Reggie and Hazenoki. Fushiguro chooses to put his faith in him for the time being because he did, after all, assist him. Meanwhile, Reggie and Hazenoki are attempting to determine if Takaba is from the old or modern eras of the franchise. Takaba misinterprets the question when Hazenoki chooses to ask him directly whose century he comes from, leading to a fight between the two. Takaba cracks a joke, only to be met by the deafening silence from the rest of his companions.
Takaba refers to them as a “bad crowd,” while Fushiguro claims that Takaba, not the audience, is the problem. Takaba then launches an attack against Hazenoki. Takaba is a formidable opponent, and Reggie recognises this. Takaba describes himself as a comedian who is comfortable with violence. Fushiguro tries to sneak up on Reggie, but the latter is able to evade him and flees. Takaba is informed by Fushiguro that they need to isolate Reggie and Hazenoki from one another. Meanwhile, Fushiguro says that Itadori was the one who forced Higuruma to include the new rule in the Culling Game by using the kogane (a type of sword).
Fushiguro’s aims have been achieved, and he no longer has any responsibilities in the colony. Reggie, on the other hand, is not going to allow Fushiguro to escape so easily. Takaba is instructed by Fushiguro to look after Hazenoki. Following that, they will engage in their individual one-on-one combat. Takaba and Hazenoki engage in combat, with the former eventually defeating the latter. The struggle between Fushiguro and Reggie has officially begun.
